What puzzled me was the fact that I did replace everything when I did the original swap including the pilot bearing/slave cylinder and hydraulic line. I am not a clutch guru so I didn’t know what to look for and had to trust the mechanic. Just glad it is now working and good luck with your...
OK so it has been 2 years living with the clutch issues mentioned above. We tried a spacer and that did not work, I have been postponing troubleshooting anymore since I don’t drive it much since I bought a Mach E for my daily driver. Last week my mechanic convinced me to just try another clutch...
Never had to replace a clutch before so this was a learning experience still in progress. My assumption is as you say that there is too much space at the slave sleeve and not putting enough pressure to the pp fingers. So is the spacer a common fix?
I just replaced the stock clutch at 100,000 miles on my 2012 Boss.
Exedy Mach 500 clutch
Exedy lightened flywheel
Ford stock slave cylinder
Ford stainless steel clutch line
MGW shifter
After everything is installed it feels like the clutch is not fully disengaging. Reverse is impossible to get...
Thanks for the input. I will check the LCA angle tonight. I was always wondering what triggered the brackets. I put the diff cover on because I had to change the fluid and I already had the Panhard bar off, the brake cooling kit I just threw in for kicks. By the way my wife told me I probably...
I was looking at that but now have to save money up for a clutch. I can’t believe mine is still shifting. Can’t shift over 6,000rpm but still gets me to work in front of most of my other commuters.
So the Boss finally hit 100,000 miles so it was time for some upgrades.
New diff. Cover- M-4033-A
Panhard bar- M-4264-A
Shocks/dampers-M-18000-C
Springs-M-5300-T
RLC arms-M-5649-R1
Replaced stock rear sway bar with an Laguna Seca bar.
Blowfish front brake cooling kitAlso had to replace the...
I was replacing my springs and noticed the same thing as you. Replaced with PN 5R3Z 5586 AA. I have 100k on my Boss and only the drivers side was worn through. I also replaced the lower insulator.
Just an update. Drove the car a couple hundred miles since putting the new clutch pedal assy. in and everything seems fine. I did have to replace the starter also since it was not wanting to start everytime. It was driving me crazy because I thought it was the clutch switch that I had just...
If anyone else replaces the clutch pedal assy. I would recommend replacing all 3 switches attached to the assy. Had to order a new brake light switch because the old switch plunger was not long enough.
Chinooks. I did avionics. Hell of an experience. Had an 83 Mustang gt back then that we used to race around in on the back roads by the shooting ranges.
