I appreciate this post. I had read something about this issue previously so I had installed oil catch cans on both sides as a fail safe. I guess I finally reached the threshold for this to happen as about halfway through the day at VIR this past weekend the driver side catch can was nearly full...
What are you guys doing for brakes where your car still see's street use? Are you swapping back to some kind of street pad with compatible compound or do you have a separate set of brake pads and rotors just for street? Or do you just bear through the dust and noise?My car is about 60/40...
I'd agree...but... /sigh...you seen other car prices lately? It's kind of depressing. Civic SI's for around 30k, mazda3 turbos are 35k, the type R for 45, a GTI is anywhere from 32-42k. ...and these are just the hot economy cars not including dealer markups.
As someone who can't rotate their right foot that well or comfortably (many pins and plates from a crushed heel) - I definitely appreciate the autoblip. Did this mod before ever hitting the track since I didn't want to worry about upsetting the car with poor downshifts. It's definitely helped me...

Not sure if you've bit the bullet or not...but yes, most issues would be from poor connections on the wires. Use posi-tap connections and not the ones provided by autoblip. That will ensure you've got a solid connection. I think it's also on page 6 here that mentions the posi-taps. I can look...
I actually installed an autoblip last year on a 2015 GT and it works ridiculously well. Not sure why it would give any ECM issues unless there was a loose/faulty connection.
