I'd run in track mode and not touch the TC button or switch advancetrac off. I like the amount of slip angle track mode provides while still being safe and fun. I only turn advancetrac off when I autocross.

I believe the ABS unit is the same across trim levels. The ECU tuning for the ABS is different across trims to account for the available grip the different trims have from factory.
