Grew up in the high desert of SoCal (Lancaster / Palmdale, aka Antelope Valley) in a performance family. My mom has pictures of me at 3 down at the drag boat races where my dad and uncle campaigned a Blown-Gas Flatbottom. After way to many funerals they both sold that and kind a hung it up. My brother pursued drag racing with his father-in-law and a 69 Camaro, and started racing Karts in my teens. Willow Springs was my "home" track, it was only 30min from my house! I did get to race a few other SoCal tracks, but not as many as I'd liked to (isn't that always the story!). The classic Yamaha KT100 was my first, then a used shifter cart with an old CR-125 that performed well for being aged hardware, and then finally to ICC with a completely brand new setup. Man I was so proud to have one of Mike Manning's setups! Raced that for a season and then the world imploded in 2009/10. So I made a very logical decision and sold the Kart with all of the equipment and moved over to downhill mountain bikes! Actually, it was a ton of fun!

In late 2011 my wife and I, with our 3 children, moved to Spencer Iowa to run a facility our company had acquired. That killed the downhill mountain bike racing, but those were 6.5 wonderful years in Iowa! I wouldn't trade those memories for the world. Sure it was cold in the winter, but it was so beautiful and we made some really great friendships.

In May of 2017 we moved to Columbia TN, 1 hour drive southwest of Nashville... again for work. Now with all of the company stuff settled and moving as along as it should I am able start working towards getting back on track. In May of 2021, my wife convinced me to trade in the Audi Q7 for a 2013 Mustang GT (lucky me, it has the Brembo brake package!). Seriously though, she did convince me, in fact... she told me I could not get a 2005-09, but it had to be a 2011 or later so it had the Coyote... because it has almost 100hp more! She and I have been together since high school, so she was at the track with me during my Karting years, she's with me anytime I'm at the track for business, and now she goes to PRI with me! The memories are of racing are fond for her and I. We both shares the same hope of getting our boys (15 and 13) involved! It's so nice to finally have some hardware to work on after so many years of being in the industry, but not participating. All of the old guys are right "In due time..."
