The book came yesterday. It's going to be the perfect guide for my upcoming transmission swap and lots of other things I'm sure. I appreciate the high quality writing and great pictures. Thanks for writing it for the community!

I would but it looks like I'm in need of a new clutch. I was having to short shift most of the weekend to even be able to shift at all 3-4 laps into a session :(

Hyperfest was a blast this year... had some rain the first session when I found out how sketchy a track can be on R compound tires. This sunny hot lap was much better. :)

Yeah between my tire and the dirt and sand on the track and pieces of the track coming up I figured I had gotten what I wanted to get- run at an old NASCAR track, experience some banking, and live to tell the tale...

Nice to see you there Duane. I corded my right front after two sessions (Goodyear Supercar 3 with about 12 track days on them) and was not comfortable with the surface anyway from safety standpoint so I headed home Saturday night. It was fun while it lasted!! :)

What does everyone do with the OEM parts your take off your Mustang? I've got a full suspension and brakes from my 2014 GT but I'm moving and really don't want to take them with me. I've posted them here as well as FB and Craigslist but I haven't had any takers (except for the wheels). Any...

I would concentrate on brakes first. Get good pads and maybe even rotors. Also consider front brake cooling. Mustangs are heavy cars that are hard on brakes. After that I'd do safety- HANS, etc. Then tires and the many other things down the rabbit hole of tracking a car. :) It's addicting.

2:16.47 at VIR this weekend with NASA. Loved the overcast day and less traffic late on Sunday afternoon...
