Both sides on the subframe web. It’s about a sheet of paper worth of clearance. This will get sawzalled. Then driver side right behind alternator, looks to be resting on it slightly. This will get BFH.
I installed the 5.0/5.2 GT500 oil pan on my gen 1 and it’s contacting the subframe in 3 different places. Just barely but it makes contact. Tried moving the subframe forward but no dice, about to make it clear with the sawzall and BFH. Anyone else experience a similar issue?
I’m putting the Ford Racing aluminum oil pan in my 14. Some of the bolts are different lengths due to the new shape of the pan. Question is do you still follow the torque to yield procedure on these bolts as the ship manual calls out for stock install?
Finished timing my 14 GT, first time timing a motor. Followed the shop manual. All chain marks are aligned on secondary and primary chains and to crank sprocket. Is there a secondary verification procedure to make sure it’s done right before I seal it up? i.e. spinning the crank a few times and...
This is what comes in the Gen 1 Timing Kit. Why would these be supplied if they don’t fit? Lol. That the kit you are referring to? Looks like the correct longer version but hard to tell.
I’m refreshing timing components on my 14 GT and noticed that the secondary tensioners are now shorter. A guy at my dealer confirmed the part underwent a change but the main cam cap didn’t. These look like they’re supposed to still be clip in by the stock retainer piece. Anyone encounter this?
I am adding the Ford Racing gage pod with the oil pressure sensor. I’d like to keep the stock sensor in place and T off that spot for the gage sensor. Anyone done this and have a source for the T fitting that may work? Thanks.
