    OS Giken vs Torsen

It’s possible but he (the rep) went on to say later that he could run “slicks” on the track but the unit would have a shorter service life. The OP was primarily a road racer so he had to have communicated that at some point I would think.

http://stangsunited.com/showthread.php?4777-Torsen-T2R-RecommendationsTorsen recommended the 2.7 to this guy that had a GT500 based on his power level. This was back in 2011 though so I think that was before the latest version of the T2R. Funny because in the email the Torsen rep recommends...

Yeah stock 31 spline axles should work no problem.

Ah I think I’m getting you confused with another Grant out in Georgia that has a Youtube channel called SpectroRacing. He also has a Torsen equipped Mustang.

    OS Giken vs Torsen

Grant thanks for the depth on the Torsen. I mainly autocross with a handful of trackdays a year so a good compromise between the two is what I’m shooting for. Sounds like the Boss T2R might fit the description. I know you run a Torsen of some flavor in your car. Which bias is it? Also how much...

    OS Giken vs Torsen

Another one I haven’t heard of till you mentioned it. Stumbled onto a BMW forum where there was good discussion about the Quaife, OSG and Wavetrac. Seems the Wavetrac is the only diff that can lock up and power the gripping wheel with one wheel completely off the ground. I did find some guys in...

    OS Giken vs Torsen

I read that about launches on the T2R as well. The only time I think that would be a factor for me would be the drag style launches in Pro-Solo. The T2R seems to be the choice for most road race applications with True Trac almost same. Only issues I’ve read on True Trac have to do with IRS cars...

    OS Giken vs Torsen

The OSG is run on many CAM cars in autocross and seems to be the diff to have if you have the money for it. That being said I don’t know any road racers with one on a Mustang. Haven’t explored the Eaton at all.

    Rear Brake Hotspots

Don’t have the race ABS module just stock. I did the cool down I just didn’t wanna set the parking brake so I chocked it and let it sit for an hour. I’m gonna try the scotch brite and alcohol trick and see if I can get all the material off. If that doesn’t work I’ll try and get them resurfaced I...

    Rear Brake Hotspots

I followed carbotech’s bedding procedure and chocked car to let cool after. There aren’t any grooves that I can feel but occasionally I can hear the right rear (pictured) grabbing at slow speeds due to uneven transfer of material. I think I just need to try new rotors because I did not change...

    Rear Brake Hotspots

I picked up brand new Carbotech XP10/8 pads for my 2008 S197 for SpeedVentures last weekend here in Vegas. After the event I noticed that the rear brake rotors looked pretty rough (see pic). A more experienced driver told me that the XP8’s are a bit too aggressive for the rear rotor and that I...
