  1. weird start this morning

About a month ago mine stalled as i was pulling away from a stop light. Almost like it was flooded like the old carb cars used to do. I was rolling so i popped the clutch and it fired off and ran fine. I have 4500 miles and that was the only issue i have had.
  2. insurance deductibles

Here in VA. each vehicle is considered to ba a seperate policy. If your car is damaged in your garage it is still covered by your auto policy. But on the bright side it would probably be covered under comprehensive which usually has a lower deductible. Also sometimes a company will charge only...
  3. Tire issues

I have never heard of such a thing. What did they tell you? That the tires shrunk. I would take it to a tire place. Most dealers don't know jack about tires.
  4. Need a set of winter wheels and all season tires.

Check out bestusedtires.com They have some pretty good deals and offer free shipping.
  5. Need a set of winter wheels and all season tires.

I just bought a rim and tire package from American Muscle that I am very happy with. I got the charcoal AMR wheels with General G-Max tires. The front are 19X8.5 with 245/45/19 tires and the rear is 19x9.5 with 275/40/19. I also got them mounted and balanced with the TPMS installed. Shipping was...
  6. Wanted: '12 Red LS Wheels

There are a couple of sets on ebay for around $2000.00 per set.
  7. RTR WHEELS

Will 19x9.5 RTR Wheels with either 275/40 or 275/35 fit on the front of the Boss. The backspacing is 6.5" and offset is +33 mm.
  8. Louvers

May not find the OEM already painted. Most come primed ready for paint. American Muscle claims theirs are OEM quality and you can get them pre-painted for around $200.
  9. What Did You Sell to Purchase Your Boss?

Had a 67 Chevy II i sold about 5 years ago and put the money in my slush fund. Also sold a nice 73 Bronco right before i bought the Boss. I would have liked to have kept the Bronco but i only need one toy at a time.
  10. Are you keeping your boss stock?

Mine is stock except for mufflers and wheels and i kept the orginal parts.
  11. New Axle Backs Advice?

Know what you mean. I listened to all that youtube stuff plus all the clips from the after market sites. Finally narrowed it down to Roush and the GT500's. Went with the 500's and am happy with the choice.
  12. Minor Gripes

The BOSS is a special car. Did a lot of research before i bought Looked at others (Camaro's, Challengers) almost bought a GT500 (2nd choice). The only gripe i had with the car are the wheels and the mufflers. Took care of the mufflers and looking at wheels. I like the stripped down bare bones...
  13. Swapping out the axle backs. Tip needed.

Yea definitely drop that cross brace. I put a set of the gt500's on friday morning with the help of our head mechanic at the construction company i work for. Took us less than 45 min. Before you tighten those up make sure they hang right and look good from the back. Enjoy they sound great.
  14. What would you do?

It all goes back to personal preference. Earlier this year after the kid's college was paid for decided to reward myself for working for 47 yrs. Had my mind made up for a GT 500 until i went by the local Ford dealership and they had a RR Boss in the showroom. I didn't buy that one because it had...
  15. AFTER MARKET WHEELS AND TIRES

Not a big fan of the stock wheels and tires. Looking at running a straight set-up either 255/45/18 or 255/35/20. Both are real close to the diameter of what the stock tires are. Kind of leaning towards the 20's because of more options. This is a week-end driver with a road trip every now and...
