After 28 years of Indy Car Racing, I only use Mobil 1.
All the engine builders I have dealt with (Cosworth, Honda, Ilmore) use over the counter Mobil 1.
I use it in all my cars, never had a failure.
I buy the 5-50 from NAPA.

I've been racing at the upper levels for 28 years. You can't go wrong with Mobil 1. Many race engine builders tell you to use Mobil 1, right off the shelf. Mobil 1 is on sale at NAPA this month.
Uneven wear is normal. Even real race cars do the same. The outside corner, the left front on a clockwise track, the right front on a counter-clockwise track, will wear more. Also the caliper flexes. that will also cause some uneven wear
I have my '66 Mustang and '12 Boss at Haggerty. Saves $600 a year from having it on my other cars insurance.
