  1. First oil change is a doozy

I tried this when changing my oil...some drains out but the anti drain back valve keeps oil above the filter and thats what comes out when you break the filter gasket seal. This was my experience anyway. I was lucky in that I used a lot of rags stuffed in all around the filter so kept the...
  2. GT350 Air Filter Question and Potential Problem

Thanks Gordon :) You going to West Coast on the 4th?
  3. GT350 Air Filter Question and Potential Problem

Hi Gordon! Say why don't you post up the part # you are purchasing? I think it would be a big help. Thanks.
  4. GT350 Oil Cooler Tube Assembly Recall

Yes I totally agree with you that you HAVE to have Ford do the recall. So I'm probably not going to do anything until after that has been done....IF they ever get around to it. ::)
  5. GT350 Oil Cooler Tube Assembly Recall

Well not being an engineer I can't tell you from that standpoint the technical advantages but I can say the AN fittings have been around a long time and have stood the test of time being used in racing all over the world. And obviously there are fewer connection points where a failure could...
  6. GT 350 Catch Can

I run only the passenger side JLT and have about 4300mi on it now with 2 track weekends. I have emptied the container twice at about 2000mi and at 4300mi and only got about a tablespoon and half worth or oil out each time. I really like the JLT because of the simplicity of the unit...nothing...
  7. GT350 Air Filter Question and Potential Problem

I haven't checked my paint in that area yet but I will tomorrow. I was going to suggest the same thing...clear bra would be a good solution. My car is just a year old now and has 4300 miles and 2 track weekends on it. I'm glad I installed the JLT oil separator when I got it...works like a...
  8. GT350 Oil Cooler Tube Assembly Recall

My thinking is along these lines as well. Thats why I bought an extra set of hoses just to be able to harvest the factory fittings into the cooler and filter adapter in order to have Teflon lines made up with AN fittings. Not sure at this point if I will do anything like putting in a Setrab...
  9. GT350 Oil Cooler Tube Assembly Recall

Would be good to know if it was a problem with the oil thermostat housing as was said about the yellow R that you all have seen in flames on the track.
  10. GT350 Oil Cooler Tube Assembly Recall

I would love to know more about this picture as well. I was trying to figure out if it was at a track location or just on the side of a road. From the surroundings it could be out in the Desert Center area east of Indio around Chuckwalla Valley Raceway. Did a quick google search and didn't...
  11. Seat mount fire extinguisher recommendations for 2016 GT 350.

I would say that is a nice set up. One thing I would note on the extinguisher end of it. IF you have to use that extinguisher you will for sure hate the clean up. I have seen them used at the track and the powder ones create such a mess that you will never get it all cleaned up. There are...
  12. Seat mount fire extinguisher recommendations for 2016 GT 350.

I looked at the SpeedTactics one on Ebay and it looks pretty good...mounts to the floor under the seat moving mechanism which I like. The Scott Drake bracket look like there is a lot going on there...nice but maybe to many things to rattle around. I'm a bit concerned about the H3R one in...
  13. Seat mount fire extinguisher recommendations for 2016 GT 350.

I may have confused you when I stated that it was explained to me it mounted to the bolts that hold the seat(padded upper) to the sliding mechanism whether it be manual or power. Hard to explain but I hope I did well enough so you understand. I will up date once I get the parts and try to...
  14. Seat mount fire extinguisher recommendations for 2016 GT 350.

Ok...good point. But I changed out my seats to fabric power bucket seats from a 2015 Mustang. I don't think they have that manual adjustment bar. The manual Recaro's are in storage.
  15. Seat mount fire extinguisher recommendations for 2016 GT 350.

Would you take a look at these parts and give me your impression? For mounting the extinguisher to the seat bracket. http://www.h3rperformance.com/vehicle_brackets_nb300.htm The extinguisher it self. http://www.h3rperformance.com/hg250b.htm The seat bracket. I was told it bolts to 2 bolts...
