  1. Anyone headed to COTA/Austin from LA/Cali area?

Anyone have spare room in trailer for some track spare body parts on way to Austin from Cali? Stuff like 2 fenders, 1 or 2 bumpers, rockers, spoiler. 2. BMR A-Arm warning

There is a huge modulus gradient there. Highest stresses are carried on the extreme surfaces and you have a discontinuous surface there inboard that goes from forged tubing to forged tubing weld HAZ to cut plate. There should be cyclical majority compression there under braking. You are lucky...
  3. Hood lift at speeds

Wider wheel well for 305 or 305+ decreased front end lift stopped violent hood flutter at TWS at 160 mph ...*Someone* at Ford must have had similar thoughts as these changes are incorporated in the 2018.

Some options for 6GR wheels: Interface OD of lug seat (60 deg cone), wrenching, height(length of nut)Unknown mfg. Have tracked on these and purposely destroyed a couple on stock studs to test overtorque to 220ft/lb. Plating holds up good so far. Torquing to 148# M14x1.5 on 10.9 grade Dorman...

  11. Hood lift at speeds

I had flutter/lift and finally fixed it by rolling the whole nose and body work downward bringing the hood down tight over the head lights: Extended front fender supports 1" (wider wheel wells) and moved the front top rad/bumper support forward, trimmed inner support where it mates to allow...
  12. 18" wheel for 15" brembo equiped S550 GT

Apex has 18x9 and 18x10 and maybe some other sizes that clear 15" (for maybe a rain tire setup). An 18x11 that clears 15" is "in the works".
