Hey guys,I took a brief hiatus from car stuff while I pursued some other hobbies, and finally said "screw it" and got pretty much a whole suspension overhaul, minus sway bars, and took to installing it today. My brother and I, both definitely amateur mechanics, spent about 8 hours today...
Yeah I was drawn to the FRPP because they obviously know what they're doing, so reliability is never in question. Now is Tokico another suspension brand? I've never heard of them.Edit: I remembered Google was a thing lol. Are they a reputable brand of product? I can only find the occasional...
Hey, all! Hope everyone is well, and hope your lap times are faster! Got a little preoccupied with work and school, so I haven't been as active on here as I would have liked to have been, but I'm ready to start spending some money on car stuff again.Just FYI, this will be a little long winded...
I believe I mentioned this before, but for people like me who are just getting into the car scene, its remarkably frustrating. This summer and next I was planning on really investing some of my hard earned part-time job money into my car, but it seems I may not be able to get the performance...
Not sure if this is the same in a v6, I'd imagine it would be, but on my GT there are three buttons near the gear shift. One of them should have the traction control symbol. If you turn the key 2 clicks, so one away from "ON"( I believe that is the right setting, the car may have to actually be...
Just a quick detour to comment on this...I totally agree. Its really interesting, and sad, that we as a society have moved away from the idea of fixing something. Its now the ideology of "just throw it out and buy a new one" or "I'll pay someone else to do it". Both of which are pretty toxic...
I saw my first Mach E yesterday, not a mustang btw, and it hurt my feelings. I hate that something completely silent can pass me, going quite quickly, without struggling. Regardless, my take is that more electric cars=more factories making batteries, which is a LOT of pollution. If only someone...
Sorry, I missed the part about you being lowered. I know people running eibach sportlines (~1.3 inches front, ~2 inches rear) that run a 19x9.5 +35 and have very minimal rubbing. I believe if you look at 19x9.5 XXR wheels, you can find quite a few in the same price range, but with a 35 offset...
This is from a Vorshlag 2011 Mustang GT track car build. The thread is pretty easy to find, and they cover a LOT on wheel fitment. This one is with a 18x9.5 with a +20. I, personally, am not a fan of the slight poke these wheels have, but in case you haven't seen a picture of the +20 wheels...
I second this. SVE drifts are some of the best wheels out there for the price. If they aren't really the look you're going for, the general rule of thumb, at least on the 2011s (I believe they would be the same but not certain) is a 35 offset for any 9.5 wide wheel. If you go wider, say a 10...
Right now, I am just trying to get some starting mods done, like wheels/tires, some suspension stuff, and then I'll move some into the aero. So this was made for a kind of future plans thread. In regard to Grant's comments, at this moment yes, my money would be better spent elsewhere. However...
It looks like you're on 18s, right? I'm going to be on 19s, at least for now, so that would put the splitter a bit higher for me, and make ride height a bit less of an issue when it comes to scraping, but thank you for the height reference. So when you say sealed off, do you mean like minimal...
