Hi Tommy,I have it installed in my car as a training wheel to help me get more comfortable with heel-toe on the tracks. My goals are. 1) Protecting the engine from me over-revving when downshift. 2) Keeping as much power at the wheel as possible between shift points.I do my heel-toe...
That was one of the reason why setup with the square setup. I also learned something else. If your tires are NOT directional like the Michelin Super Sports (OEM) or the Cup 2 tires, you can rotate left and right after each track day/event if you like. By having the square setup, you can now...
Wtywly,Its all come down to your comfort level....There are quite a few of us use spacers on the track because the wheel/tire configurations we have chosen dictate us to use spacers and we are comfortable with it and have not run into any issues. When a spacer is properly engineered...
I took Rick's advice and use the ARP studs. 7733 for front, 7732 for back and use 25mm(~ 1in) spacers for the front and it runs great on both the OEM and Aftermarket 6GR wheels on track. using 295/35-19 and 305/35-19 for OEM wheels and 305/30-19 on 6GFR wheels. No issues after two track...
I have not ran the SC2 before but I used the NT01 on a different car before and really like the grip on a dry track. With a heavy car and track driving. I am figuring 10 track days of 50 t0 80 heat cycles before they are toasted.
Thanks Bus. I think I will go with the 305 first and see how it goes before I get too brave. I am sure it will fit just the end to end range might be less and risk some light scrubbing. especially when the front end is fully loaded on a hard braking and Apexing.
Guys.... Just spoke with Ryan at Apex Racing Parts. There is a group buy deals going on for the APEX EC-7 19x11 if you are interested. Here is the link.https://www.gangup.com/apex/apex-18-19-ec7-mustang-wheels-q1-2018.htmlThought I would share since the track season is just around the corner.
Thanks JAJ. That makes perfect sense. Just need to find the parts number for the correct APR studs.BTW. I had a typo. I am not running 50mm spacers. They are 25mm for the 1" extension.
Looking for feedbacks and recommendations.I am setting up my '17 GT350 to run with the N4SW 6GR 19x11 with 50mm Spacers in the front and ARP 3" studs to give me a rotatable square setup. I am trying to decide on the Michelin PSC2 305/30ZR19 ($350 each) or the Nitto NT01 305/30R19 ($420 each)...
Hi VoodooBoss. I am new to the Shelby and trying to get as much info as possible to setup my car for Spring. I ordered the 6GR wheels 19x11 and getting the 305/30-19 to run the square set. I will be ordering the 3.49" ARP studs for front and back. The question remains on the spacer. I...
