Because on filters where can contacts seal is sticking out. On those you have to actually over tighten them to contact, when tightened correct can just about touches.

Reason I mentioned 18x10.5 option, you can run all sizes. I run 285 and 305 on them.

18x10.5 don't need spacers and is another option
