  1. First track day for the Boss

Thanks for the compliment but I built the flares myself based on some fenders that Ford made back in the day. I couldn't find them so I decided to make my own. Then a couple of years after I finished mine the original manufacture is offering them. Oh well. At least I still have my molds and can...
  2. First track day for the Boss

Thanks for the link to the cooler build. Certainly something to look into before the next track event. My race car is an 86 SVO. It's been a work in progress for what seems like forever. Maximum Motorsport full grip kit, custom hand built wide body kit, 2.3 stroked to 2.6. I haven't had the car...
  3. First track day for the Boss

Well...for the last several years it's just been a garage queen. It sure was a lot less stressful driving this car compared to my race car. The only tool I used was a couple of zip ties and some duct tape.So what kind of oil cooler are guys running. I'm looking at the Cool Tech ones but man...
  4. First track day for the Boss

It's a 2013 LS. No high Rev lockout. Just the shifter was super mushy.
  5. First track day for the Boss

One more complaint...the stock shifter sucks. I have an MGW in the box...yes I know...it will work better on the car. Also just received my jack plates so those have to go on as well.
  6. First track day for the Boss

For me it's always between 5 & 6...probably because I got t-boned there once but thats a different story. Had a great time with the Boss today. Didn't cord any tires but then again I don't think I was pushing it too hard. My fastest time was in the morning session 1:37. Times got worse...
  7. First track day for the Boss

Yeah....this was the issue. It wasn't depressing the switch all the way. I taped a piece of ru be to the pedal and got back O track.
  8. First track day for the Boss

    Clutch pedal sensor
  9. First track day for the Boss

Also noted that the check engine light is on
  10. First track day for the Boss

After 1st session pulled into pits and now car won't try and turn over. Got a tpms sensor error. Have good battery. Lights work but nothing on the starter. Doesn't even try to start.Thoughts?
  11. First track day for the Boss

Yeah...having them on the car would be a much better solution but not sure I have the time to get that done.Does the stock suspension allow for any adjustment?
  12. First track day for the Boss

Ducts installed Fluid totally flushed with Motul 600 New Carbotech pads front and rear with the titanium shims Camber is currently whatever the factory gave me. Car only has about 2500 miles on it. I have a set of MM caster camber plates in the box that I'll put on at some point.
  13. First track day for the Boss

Well...it's finally going to happen. Taking the car out for it's first track day/time trial this weekend. Really just going out to get my fix as it's been a while since I've been on the track.Track - Willow SpringsBased on other feedback I've read here is where I'm at with initial setup...
  14. Do you need to have TPMS sensors

My shop did ask what kind of car but didn't ask about sensors. I have the Conti slics on the SVE drifts as well.I do agree that having the sensors are a good thing. Just didn't think about it until after they were mounted. Next set of tires I'll put them in.Thanks for the replies.
  15. Do you need to have TPMS sensors

I now have dedicated track wheels and I didn't have TPMS sensors put in them. I've read some other posts about other brands not allowing specific driving modes without the TPMS sensors. I understand that I will probably get a warning light about TPMS but am I loosing anything other than TPMS by...
