Huge brake upgrade for S197 chassis

Would someone care to try the challenger/charger SRT-8 booster/master cylinder? These cars consume more fluid with their big 6piston brembo calipers so this might be something that could bolt on and work. I remember being in a junkyard and looking at a base car and the booster M/C looked almost...

Brake lines for S550 4 piston caliper swap

Out of curiosity, why didn't you opt for the S197 4 pot? they're a plug and play ez pz swap, and there's the stainless braided line or the boss302 lines you could use.

S197 My budget track 5.0 GT

From my experience, do nothing else to the car to make it faster. Make yourself faster by setting up a lap timer/data acquisition and getting lap times. First you're going to need lap times to be consistent, then you can start playing around with the car in spots where you're comfortable...

Huge brake upgrade for S197 chassis

I was talking to a coworker who worked on S197 program and they mentioned that the 2013-2014 GT500 with 6 pots got a knockback mitigation tune, which takes up the "dead space" in the pedal that is there after a half a lap of no brake use. The base and 4 pot brembos didn't get this tune since it...

The EBC Brakes Giveaway Returns! Oct'22

Frankenstein? I think an E46 M3 with a voodoo engine. Or an RS200 with...I dunno, an RS200 already seems like fun/Scary as is.

Did you have to crack the bleed screw as part of the ABS bleed?

Huge brake upgrade for S197 chassis

I believe the risk comes from the piston in the caliper traveling further than designed. Luckily our group typically is pretty good about swapping out pads at proper intervals, but i found it to be approx 0.15" on my set of calipers. I was going to do a measurement with new pads before I try...

    NT01 or ToyoRR

Yeah, I didn't realize how much I was spilling out of my reservoir until I removed the sound tube. I'm not happy, but it's also not the end of the world. Did your fix end up working? I saw someone at the last track day zip tie a paper towel to the reservoir. I did that too and it seemed to catch...
