Save yourself the time. I spent months chasing this exact same squeal. I didn't want to believe it at first but it was a bent axle. I greased the pins, shimmed the caliper, changed my pads, machined the rotors. Didn't change a thing. Finally just replaced the axle and it was fixed...
I drove mine through the first winter I had it. Hankook Winter iCept Evos are a good performance winter tire as well. Probably cost a bit less than the Pirellis. I was fine through a pretty miserable Toronto winter. The only time I got semi-stuck was the morning after a huge storm and my...
I did a quick search but I couldn't find anything. I'm a bit confused as to how thick I should be ordering DTC pads in. Hawk Performance search lists the .670 pad as fitting but everyone else seems be selling the .585 pad.
The pads are slightly more worn than my street pads but not enough, I don't think to create that much more travel. I was thinking the same thing as pads don't really compress right? The problem is, it's not just when the car is moving. The pedal sinks lower just sitting at a standstill when...
I use HPS pads on the street and switch to HP+ for track days. Every time I put on the track pads, my pedal goes mushy. As soon as I switch back to my HPS pads, it's fine. Has anyone ever experienced this? I'm running ATE fluid and braided lines. It stops fine on the track but it definitely...
Ah OK. I think I squeezed a bit more out of mine when installing my AST dampers. The bottom spindle mount hole is slotted so I tilted the top of the spindle all the way in before I tightened the bolts. I'm at 2.5 and still have lots of room on my plates.
I've been told by a few people who are much faster than me in their Mustangs that factory caster angles are usually the best and zero toe. Why only 2.0 degrees of camber though? I'd run at least 2.5 degrees on the track. My street/track car has been at 2.5 all year. Will be going with 3.0 in...
Re: Member IntroductionsHi all! Stumbled across this forum when searching for track setups and ideas. There's a wealth of info in here! I don't have a Boss but I have a 2013 GT track pack that's being built for open track days. It was supposed to stay stock for 3 years but that didn't last...
