Actually now that I think I did wire in some electric exhaust cutouts, but unplugged them when this problem appeared. Did not help. They are still unplugged.
Thanks. I have not tracked the car in several years but think I was up on all the TSBs. Have not replaced any of the harness. No aftermarket wiring (eg stereo). Gas is fairly fresh. Using an OBD reader i see voltage at about 9.X after a couple of days. Service techs up the street have had it for...
I am having what I think are two separate problems on a 2012 BOSS 302.Hard to start. Even after new battery, voltage seems to drop after a day or two and car barely starts. After starting, voltage is at approximately 14.5. So, I think alternator is OK.
A couple of times “wrench” light stays...
I have run with Chin many times at Barber. Great group. At Barber they usually run four 30 min sessions per group plus an hour and 15 min open session at the end of the day. I almost never use all the time available. Expect to be on track with some fast cars and drivers in the intermediate and...
Thanks Rick. But, I need pads for a P3D+ and I don't see those on the mountain pass web site. I did talk with the Nashville parts department and they said the tesla pads would be available but did not have pricing yet.
Here is a thread from another forum with some disconcerting information. He ran the car for one session and cooked the brakes (rwd and not big brakes). Not too surprising but Tesla would not sell him pads alone. He had to buy pads, rotors AND calipers. I called tesla yesterday (Nashville parts...
You should be golden with a supercharger available -- even running full 25 min sessions. I think I can run three 20 min sessions at Barber using 240 volt charging.
Don't most tracks have RV hookups? At Barber they look like they have the NEMA 14-50 plugs. I think they would charge similarly to a level II charger. Right?
I have (well.... technically, my wife has) a black, 2018 Model 3, performance. She says I can take it to the track, but she is starting to back down a little.
Looks good. In for pictures installed. Called tesla re jacking and they say it is OK to jack under a single point. Still wondering about parking brake. Users manual mentions an electronically activated "parking brake" when the car is in park.
