Tuners will turn it off if all you have is an OBD test liker Texas. If it's a smog test it will fail....

Just what the others haves said. I have the jegs stainless deletes and it threw codes after 25 miles or so. I had a dyno tune appointment the next day so i wasn't concerned. Keep your stock cats to put em back on come inspection time. Thats my plan

But are the gains that huge (removing the cats) ?
And what if you install Magnaflow or Kooks Hi-flow cats instead?

About 20 hp. It's the easiest gain you can get.
Thats interesting.I'm installing shortie headers.So if I got it right, if I replace the cats with delete pipes, I need to see a tuner.What about the cat sensors? And I have trackey.Hows that work?
Thats the fly in the oitment.I'm on the fence if I want to delete track key.It is a quick way to bump power, but from what I've been reading, it also pumps up the volume.My set up (headers installed soon)now is not too loud.It's all 3"from the H pipe to tips.It's all MPRP race series.Deep vintage tone.Cat deletes may be too much of a good thing.Thankyou for your reply!
