If I install cat deletes on my Boss will it throw any codes? I'm asssuming it won't pass smog in CA right?

Thanks
Yes it's not going to pass smog.

Just what the others haves said. I have the jegs stainless deletes and it threw codes after 25 miles or so. I had a dyno tune appointment the next day so i wasn't concerned. Keep your stock cats to put em back on come inspection time. Thats my plan

Yes, it should set a P0420 and P0430 on its second trip. I take my cats off in the spring, then re-install them in the fall, clear the codes, perform a drive cycle and get the car inspected. This is really easy to do if you have a lift!

Thats interesting.I'm installing shortie headers. So if I got it right, if I replace the cats with delete pipes, I need to see a tuner. What about the cat sensors? And I have trackey.Hows that work?

Yes, you'll need a tune.
The tuner will disable the rear sensors, so you won't get a CEL. And once you get a tune, the track key will no longer work as track key, and it'll work as a regular key.

Thats the fly in the oitment.I'm on the fence if I want to delete track key.It is a quick way to bump power, but from what I've been reading, it also pumps up the volume. My set up (headers installed soon)now is not too loud. It's all 3"from the H pipe to tips. It's all MPRP race series.Deep vintage tone.Cat deletes may be too much of a good thing.Thankyou for your reply!
