Re: What did you do to your boss today?

k98dave - do yourself a favor and dump those PZeros ASAP. They are horrendous in sub 65 degree weather (heck, sub 80 degree weather, really) and make the car very unpleasant to drive if you plan on having some fun. I know they are OE on R8s and 911s etc, but they just don't suit the Bosses, in my humble opinion.

PSS is a great option (currently have them myself), also RE-11 (will have to go with 265/35/19 fronts since they don't offer the 255/40).

Love your Yellow Blaze Boss, by the way.

Will post video of lap when I (eventually) get home. Worth the trip!

Good to hear. I saw a lot of rainy photos Saturday, glad it cleared up.

Yea, only got 1 session in Saturday. Did one lap in the rain, and as I dropped down off the bowl onto the pit-in the P car behind me aqauplaned and spun 5 times -- wish I had a rear facing camera.....

Re: What did you do to your boss today?

I am thinking about the BMR watts, too. Just have to decide on rod ends or the rod end and poly end option. I guess I am just nervous about how much NVH the rod-ends will cause compared to a spherical bearing upper control arm since I have heard that fist-hand.

Wow someone with a more organized garage than me. ::) I like the Race Deck flooring too!

How heavy is that BMR watts? Looks a little heavy.

I'm not sure about heavy since I have nothing to compare it too but the complete weight with hardware is 29.95 lbs. Basically got it because nearly all of my suspension mods have been BMR and hoping it'll all tie in together during my HPDE days. Went with red to match my red, white and blue Boss although nearly all the red is on the underside.

EDIT: But I am saving about 20 Lbs with the K-Member and shifting the weight from front to back.

You should see the rest of it. Pisses off the other guys in the neighborhood 'cause their wife's question why their husbands can't be so neat and organized. The boys call me Captain Anal. And good eye Rick on knowing it's Race Deck flooring. I have about 750 SF of it.

Does that use the factory calipers and whatnot?

Correct. It uses an adapter bracket that spaces the factory caliper up to meet the new rotor diameter.

Re: What did you do to your boss today?

Over the weekend I put on the winter wheels and tires. I got a great deal on 2015 take offs. I pulled the summer tires off of those and put them on my stock rims and then put winter tires on these. The ride is much better now. It hasn't been that cold here but cold enough that the summer tires would constantly lose traction. I thought the new wheels were from a track package car but they didn't clear the front calipers so I had to put on spacers.

Oh, I also put on the new plate.

Re: What did you do to your boss today?

Got around to removing the clutch assist spring. Much better feel now. Went out for a little ride and since its 75 today the P zero's seem better too. Tires are still 90%+ tread so it will be awhile before I shop for replacements, besides plenty of hot days ahead this summer in TX.

Your tires will be five years old soon so start budgeting for new tires before they wear out. I have one word for you: MichelinPilotSuperSports. :)

Yes the Pilot SS are on the list, but I haven't decided if I want to get some 18" wheels & sticky R compound for track play and get something like RE-11 for street duty.

There are other good tires out there but we are somewhat limited with the 19" wheels. Hopefully more brands will become available.

Re: What did you do to your boss today?

I used RE-11s on new 302S/Laguna wheels this season - really, really pleased with them! Drove to/from track on them to multiple events and no complaints so far... I am leaning toward Conti DWs in OE size for street tires when my OE Pirellis give up the ghost.
