SOLD - 2012 Boss LS - #39

This site may earn a commission from merchant affiliate links, including eBay, Amazon, and others.

Unfortunately I am selling my 2012 Mustang Boss LS. This one is #39 which was made on the first day of production. The first 50 made had their build number as part of the VIN number. I loved taking her to the local car show, but really loved taking her to the track. There are a few track modifications that I've made but it is still rides great on the street. Here is a list of modifications and the stock parts come with the car.

Ford Racing Track Key
Boss car cover
Hood struts
Moroso oil separator.
Borla Type S catback exhaust - 200 miles.
Steeda Boss springs
Full Tilt Boogie rear panhard bar.
Strano Adjustable rear swaybar.
Maximum Motorsports Caster Camber plates
Maximum Motorsports braided brake lines
Blowfish Racing front tow hook
Extra front Brembo brake calipers
Several sets of track brake pads and rotors.

The Forgestar F14 track rims pictured have already been sold.

In late 2014, I had a unwelcome meeting with a tire wall which did sheet metal damage to the passenger side of the car. No air bags deployment or frame damage. It was professionally repaired using only genuine Ford replacement parts. The rear quarter was replaced as I did not want it fixed with body filler. It drives as good as the day that I got her. I had a clear adhesive bra on the hood, mirrors, front bumper, and rockers. All are on the car except on the passenger side front fenders and rockers. I decided to let the new owners decide if they wanted it removed entirely or reapply. Yes, I loved taking this car to the track but I always took great care of it with synthetic oil changes after every event.

Buyer must arrange and pay for shipping. Possible delivery options depending buyer's location. I also have a Texas Roll back trailer for sale.

Dean sorry to see you selling your Boss. Are you buying anything fun to replace it?

Unfortunately not. Believe me, the new GT350 has crossed my mind, but I just bought a house on a lake so a boat will be coming soon. I would like to say another Mustang is in my future, but at my age, the future isn't as long as it used to be. haha

lol. I haven't heard that before, but I have no doubt that it is true. If you think about it, I am really just trading 1 expensive hobby for another. ::)

Isn't that the truth! :D Sorry to see you selling the Boss but totally understand. Something tells me you'll end up in another Mustang again, even if it's just a street rod :)

I remember how bad I felt the day you bumped the tire wall, and it was a bump not a huge hit so the damage was superficial. I'm glad it's fixed up and it looks really good. I know you took great care of the car and will be a great deal for someone looking to get into a VERY LOW # 2012.

Hi Gary! Yeah, for sure. It was a very sad day and stuff like that always seems to happen on the last run of the day. I know it will make someone a great car, but haven't really had a bite on it yet. Do you think the price is too high? I expected the Boss's to take a hit with the new GT350's out there, but didn't think it was that big of a hit. I also expected I would get lower because of the previous damage. I thought it was a good price, but maybe not.

That is one serious oil catch can!

haha, yeah it is much bigger than a JLT. The thing that I liked about though is that is has a bracket to hold it instead of just held by the hoses like the JLT's version.

I've had several boats and several track cars, Track cars/events are more expensive that boats!

Dean, in 2012 I had my Boss wrecked into on the track after 3 months of ownership. It killed me to sell it wrecked but I had 4 kids in college. Now I'm looking for another Boss track car, your's is a good prospect.

Hi Bossdog,
Yeah, wrecking it and having a long 11 hour drive home to think about it, did not make for a great day.
I can understand about not getting it fixed. My wife was not real happy about paying that repair bill. Without insurance helping out at all, it all comes right out of the pocket. I can't afford to do that again and the temptation of tracking it again would be too strong, so I've decided I'd better just sell it. I've also got a roll back open trailer available. If you are interested, we can figure something out.

Re: 2012 Boss LS - #39

Dean, I assuming you have the Trans cooling scoop that came with the LS is still installed?

Also, do you know what the warranty is on the repairs? Many shops have "life time". Is any warranty transferable?

Yes, the transmission cooling scoop has always been installed.

I know it is lifetime, but I don't know if it is just for me or for the car with any owner. Let me check on the warranty.

I stopped in the body shop and talked to the manager. Unfortunately, the "lifetime" guarantee is only for the original owner. The body shop is a local GM dealer that does great work. I didn't use some guy in his back garage doing it on the side. I can send you the repair invoice if you would like to see it. You could even call them if you wanted to talk to them about the repair.
