First, I'd like to thank VooDoo for the great install detail in this thread. I referenced it frequently during my install.

I thought I would give a heads up to anyone who might come along looking to install the Auto-Blip on a 2017 GT-350. I've worked with Andres @ Tractive Tech to troubleshoot and verify. Ford changed the voltage on one of the two pins utilized by AutoBlip on the throttle position harness and it has rendered the AutoBlip unusable on this model until Andres gets a fix implemented. I cannot verify if Ford also changed the other 2017 Mustang models but it would make sense to me that they did.

Andres has posted here in the past and may do so again when he gets his fix implemented.

I have a 2017 GT350 and have auto blip installed and have track tested it. Works flawlessly. Used this thread for as a guide for installation.

Welcome to TMO. Do you have an updated AB or did the original version work on your car? If the original version what is the build date for your 2017?

I originally bought my ab for a Dodge Viper, but sold that and installed it in gt350. Build date is 6/16

Hope that helps

Not sure, I do remember them saying that one of the wire colors on the harness was duplicated and they had to do some research to find the right wire. As far as it being stripped, all my connections are solder.

Thanks. Does Andreas know that? That might help him solve the issue for the buyers with the Mustang specific AB.

I doubt it unless he follows this thread. When I asked if the Dodge Viper ab was compatible, I was told yes , wire colors are the same. So I think the research needed is on the car side and not with the ab

Hey everyone this is Andres from AUTO-BLiP :)
It was brought up to my attention by one of my customers that Ford seems to have made a change to the 2017 GT350 when it comes to the reference voltage level use on the accelerator pedal. It seems like not all the 2017 models have got this change because some apparently have been able to install the AUTO-BLiP with no issues. To be more specific, the reference voltage to the accelerator pedal has been increased from 5v to 12v. The current AUTO-BLiP is only able to interface with accelerator pedals that use up to a 5v reference which is about all the vehicles we have tested with.
We are currently working on a solution for this. In the meantime please don't hesitate to contact us via email if you have any question at [email protected]

Thanks,
Andres

It tune it on when I arrive at a track and off before I leave. I never use it on the street.

So with my Boss and my GT350 this is my favorite mod. It's amazing how relatively simple this device is yet how well it works.
Does anyone use it on the street? I encounter plenty of situations where a heel/toe downshift would be nice but I have given up attempting. I doubt I'll track my car more than once or twice, if ever.

I don't use my AB on the street although I do practice rev matching and heel/toe on the street when the road is open.

Confirmed this issue when I moved the AB to Junior yesterday -- eager for the revised version. It's a great mod :)

Crap, Quick Nick , you are already faster than stink , and now you want Auto-Blip!? Heck we are all going to have to get decals for our cars that say " I got Auto-Blipped by Quick Nick!" I am going to put a blow up doll in my GT 350, when it gets here, dress her up like a " Homecoming Queen" and install an Auto-Wave for you as you go by!

Nick has run Auto Blip for about as long as I have Bill, and there is no shame in adding tech to go faster. If Ford offered a DCT in the Mustang I would have that too. I like shifting but if something can help go quicker than a Vette or GT3 I am all in. Auto Blip on both my cars since 2013 and love it. Luckily the 2016 Mustangs used the lower reference voltage so it works fine.

I'm with you 100%. The Auto-BLiP has been my favorite mod on my Boss 302 and GT350. I'm a bit backwards in that I'd prefer a DCT for track use but prefer a manual for a weekend driver sports cars. There's no denying a DCT is faster on track and about the only place I have challenges keeping up with 991 GT3's is on corner exit where they always have the right gear.

Just heard back from Andres "The new system is a work in progress and we hope to have it available at the end of the year"
