I got a chance to ride along Dave Born in one of the GT350 cars that are fitted with the lowering springs. It was also fitted with the sway bars from FP and the short shifter.

Riding quality doesn't get destroyed, it just gets a nice mid-way feeling between my GT350's stock Sport and Track modes. Sport mode is almost too soft on my car, and Track makes it too hard for the road but leaves a bit of a "floating" feeling on track. The Ford Performance springs seem to fit right in the middle with a slightly harsher ride in Sport mode, making the car more precise and focused on road driving, and it makes the Track mode just plain stiff. Dave drove the car only on the street so I can only judge from the bumps and potholes we were avoiding or hitting :), but it felt just right. It's a bit hard to describe I recon, nut it wasn't so hard it became uncomfortable, and it was still absorbing really well all the small bumps you find on the road and you don't want to feel in your back when you're cruising around.

The ride height gets dropped about 15mm up front, and 20mm in the back. You can see the photos attached for comparison with your car at home :)

The springs do not require a new mapping of the MagneRide system, and this is the great upside for me on these! Just swap the springs, and go enjoy your new ride! They also don't lower the car so much that you get into bumpsteer rectification territory, so that's another good news.

On a side note, Dave advised to look into the solid bushings for the rear subframe (hardly any NVH increase with these), and the toe link solid bushing also on the rear which helps to get the car more predictable when oversteering as it flexes less than the stock rubber item, giving it a more progressive reaction.

The car was also equipped with a short shifter, so if you want a couple photos of it to see how much travel you have from 1st to 2nd gear for example, I can post these also.

That's all I can think of the top of my head regarding the springs. But it's definitely a "go-to" item at the top of my upgrades list in a very near future.

Thanks for the update. In other news CorteX will have custom DSC control modules available very soon. These will work on both the GT350 and R. More info on that in the next couple of days.

To me that makes no sense. It's completely programmable by the user. Unless you mean a buyer can buy say CorteX's version and plug it in and just rely on their version and setting?
The thing is, that it's so simple to use I don't see why anyone would want a preset version of the controller.

That's gonna be too far away for me as I'm fitting my camber plates mid-june. I got Watson Racing on the phone and they should be able to hook me up with a set around 06/09 so I'll pay the full price but won;t have to take my suspension apart and have the alignment done twice...

Thanks anyway guys for the help!
