Since I brought the car home I haven't actually been able to drive it

. I washed it once and dropped it off at Imperial Works in Sacramento to handle the obligatory XPEL PPF, Llumar Air 80 Blue window tint, and Ceramic Pro ceramic coating. Here are some progress pics. You will notice they are covering the painted surfaces in the XPEL Ultimate, and have custom cut it to stop at the glossy red portion of the flat black stripes. The stripes will be covered in a custom cut XPEL Stealth to maintain their flat black appearance. These guys know what they are doing.

I also came home to this bad ass brake stud hardware designed by @Epiphany . I cant thank him and Patti at Caliperfexion enough for continuing to support me in my endeavors, and making parts for the GT350 community. I had been hassling @Epiphany to make a set in blue to match my car and well, lets just say they came out amazing.

If you are interested in this color make sure you check out Caliperfexion soon as I do not know how long this batch will last. They are also available in red.Caliperfexion (1).JPGCaliperfexion (2).JPG

Been tinkering away at the R and getting parts installed. Lately it seems like I don't have time to put together a full write up. I will keep things brief, and if anyone is interested in a full installation write up let me know and I will work on getting it together

R Springs vs FP Springs
Met up with my buddy Rick at the local cars and coffee. He has a GT350 on the Apex wheels, Carbon2Carbon R aero, and running the same Michelin SC2 tire. His car has the FP lowering springs and MM plates. Measurements show about a 20mm difference up front, and a little less out back. You can visibly see it is lower

OPT7 Sequential LED Turn Signals
These were a total pain in the butt to install. It took myself and @cornercarverfan about 2.5 hours to get this task done. The end result is damn impressive, but the worst part is you never really get to see the lights in action as you drive. You know its there, but this mod is really for others to see. If I had to do it again I would, but it did take much longer than expected. No need to pull the front bumper. Go in through the fender liner, unbolt the cooler, remove a bunch of screws that holds the light, and pull it out from the front. It sounds easy, but my hands are still all beat up.

ZL1 Addons Titanium Tow Hook
This one was pretty simple since I knew what to expect from the last car. I love the look and the functionality. Pray to god I never need it. Went with titanium becauseracecar.

iJDM Toy LED 4th Brake Light
I was super sketch about buying this at first, but I want all my lighting converted to LED. It was also a pain to install and consumed 4 hours of my life. The area to work in behind the bumper is impossibly tight, the diff cooler had to be unbolted and moved, and running the wires took a little time. The kit does not come with any of the wiring connecters, grounds, or splicers you need so be sure to have them handy. I went with the smoked lens and well..... I love it. That LED surround is sexy at night. Definitely would bang again. Biggest complaint is I cant see it while driving.

Overall still in love with this car. My night photography sucks. Hope I helped you spend some money. Mod on

This is my second go around with the ZL1 Addons Splitter Guard washers and they have already proven their worth with my previous carbon fiber front splitter. During my last trip to the shop I was put on to a little known fact that they carry 2 different sized splitter guard washers. The smaller pieces come standard with the kits, but the larger bits are actually use by NASCAR.

This time around I wanted to add some extra protection to the areas of the splitter I found to be the most susceptible to scraping. The center portion is always high risk since it is the forward most point. Then at the 3/4 or so mark at each side there is a bulge/curve in the splitter that generally is the point to scrape first when taking an angle into or out of most driveways. That is where I placed the 3 larger pieces. The install process is simple as I placed the washer where I wanted it, drilled a pilot hole, and then screwed in the washer with the supplied screws.

Here is the final product.

Finally got this S550 Carbon GT350 hood vent on. Inspired by the 13/14 GT500. Took a little work but the end result looks good. You have to bend the stock hood bracket that the OEM vent attaches too. It can be done by hand and returned to stock if you take it off. I noticed there needed to be a little extra clearance where the vent meets the top hose of the coolant expansion tank. Once I filed that down a bit it was good. As always I recommend you get an exposed CF treated to ceramic coating to ensure it has a long healthy life without haze or yellowing.

Stopped in to Imperial Works In Sacramento to see the car briefly today. Things are still curing but all I can say is wow! The car looks better than I expected. David and his guys are putting in work. Can not wait to get it out in the sun for a photoshoot

Awesome man, I would be all over a GB R at the price you purchased yours. I will doing the PPF with Xpel after I redo my front end in a couple of months, if you do not mind me asking, what was the price for the front to be done or did you do the whole car? I get to detail a fellow Spec Iron racer's Black/matte black striped w/red pinstriped R for the Mustang Week show coming up. I know know how shiny his car has to be haha. His has Ceramic Pro as well and I will be coating his 6R wheels. Ceramic Coatings are pretty much the best thing since sliced bread.

Ceramic on the whole car and PPF from the A pillar forward. Pricing will change depending on the work you want honestly. There are different packages based on how many layers of ceramic, if you coat the wheels/brakes, and if you want full PPF coverage on the hood/stripes. The type of work I had done would get you in the 3k range easy
Nice goodies. Where are you finding the carbon fiber inserts and rear deck lid?

I got them from S550 Carbon. Been working with them on test fitting some of their products and providing feedback. Been a good relationship thus far.
