Thoughts on stripe kit

Yup, when I decided to have a dinner date with a tire wall, the track insurance spent about 2.5k just for hood and (single) side stripes.
I thought you had already checked the prices when you started the thread!

I had seen the prices and read some but I thought I would be $1500 or so all in. Hearing $1300 for just the hood though makes me rethink lol.

Most times looking fast and/or going fast don't come cheap. I wouldn't take Boss stripes off unless they were being replaced, but I am old school that definately thinks the stripes are part of the iconic package that makes a Boss.

I agree with you. I won't take them off until they are being replaced.

I think that's just a rumor. Can someone confirm this please? Lol

This is true, I easily gained about 8hp at 4700rpm and reduced drag gaining 10mph in the back straights while slightly increasing opponent's fear. Sometimes if you look hard enough in your rear view mirror you can see their eyes water up inside their helmets

I better call Monday and make sure they aren't '12 stripes. Thanks for the heads up

Yellow Blaze is a fantastic color to be on your car..Whatever it may be! Ford chose to discontinue that option during the '12 model year...The Boss clearly comes to mind with Cars ordered with that color and not being delivered as such. It seems there was a problem with the paint that was too costly to resolve. If you're lucky enough to have a Yellow Blaze car...Take good care of it!

I don't think there was problem with the paint. It was the supplier. I was told that the manufacture's plant was destroyed due to a earthquake and could no longer produce the paint? I will admit that YB was my second choice. I wanted a silver LS but could not swing the EXTRA cash for it. Very happy with the YB. Get's a lot of thumbs up on the color. To me YB is a color that you like or dislike. In the sun its very stunning. It catches the eye!!
