@Serpent Stang how do the FP springs compare to stock R springs and how's the DSC controller working for you? I read elsewhere that the FP springs don't lower the R but I don't think that's correct.

@VoodooBoss Well between The springs, Eibach sway bars, and DSC controller I picked up just over 2 full seconds off my previous personal best. I'd say these mods were definitely a step in the right direction. The most noticeable difference is I'm able to drive in almost a full brake marker further than before. Same tires, Same pad compounds...

As far as ride height, It's definitely slightly lower. I didn't measure ground clearance, but before installing the springs I had a good half inch of clearance between the bottom of my door, and the fender on my trailer. Now the door just barely touches the fender if I'm in the car on the trailer trying to get out.

Congratulations to @smallblock for posting the best time so far at Grattan and @Serpent Stang for the best time at NCM!

I wanted a sub 1:30 but by the time I got a clean lap the front tires were pretty toasty. PBIR with its big sweepers eats front tires for lunch.

I took about a year and a half off following the above Lightning event and even after a couple of TNiA events there's still a couple seconds worth of rust on the driver. In the meantime I did lower the car about half an inch and change the rear sta-bar.

Fantastic day on track yesterday. I was able to promote 2 clients and set a new personal best by nearly a second. Cool conditions and light North wind are ideal. Actually had a quicker lap going later in the day but picked up traffic going into Big Bend. Next step, getting into the 22s.1f60e.png The car has it (there is always more). Made progress in Little Bend, but data analysis shows more time available in Wagon Wheel, Tombstone, and Big Bend. Those corners tend to result in big chunks of time for relatively small speed improvements. But it will take good conditions and me getting it done behind the wheel.

As always, a work in progress.

I got my stock 2016 GT350 down to 1:48.99 at Willow Springs over the weekend. Not great but I'm old and slow and have to be able to drive home from the race track. Not very many clear laps. Also still encountering limp mode just when I get on a roll.

I ran a 3:00.1 on the VIR Grand Course on Friday - 2017 GT350 on 395 NT01s (square) and Raybestos ST43 pads. I know I can get it in the 2:50’s! Maybe next year...

Happy with that time for my first session at the Streets but I know there's definitely more time to be found if I actually learn the track and have more guts coming through the downhill section.

I ran my personal best laps at both Summit Point Main (1:24) and VIR Full (2:11), and Grand (3:06) in August and November!

Looking forward to staying consistent at 1:24 at SP, and breaking the 2:10 mark at VIR Full and into 3:05 on the Grand in 2018.

This was in a 2009 Mustang GT 3V 5.0 with 275/35-18 Hoosier R7s.

Really nice driving, Mike. I need to step up my game in the GT350:)
