Waking up to 27 deg temps at VIR. Oh Boy.

Low 20's here this AM...coldest since last March.......Also a shout out to all our Veterans on this Veteran's Day!! Thank you for your sacrifice to serve and support and defend our country......Job well done!!!

Vet's day brings back a memory my late Dad told me many years ago. He was in the Navy during WWII and was serving on one of those smaller Boats. He had kitchen duty one time and decided to make stuffed cabbage. No body on the ship was thrilled (mostly southern guys) with the offering so most of it got tossed to the fishes.To this day I don't know if my father's cooking was that bad or those boys didn't appreciate that food? Probably a little of both came into play.

Them southern boys didn't like the stuffed cabbage 'cause it wasn't fried.

Or your Pops was smart, and never had to do another KP! I suspect he was a pretty wise man.

After that fiasco he was put in charge of P&J sandwiches..............

Maybe just Navy boys without much to do on a boat. I remember a day of training in the field was hard work. I ate whatever they put in front of me and went back for seconds.

Not all fun and games for the Navy boys....Pops also told me about them getting caught in a bad winter storm in the Atlantic and everyone on board scrapping the building ice off the boat to stay afloat.

Then *that's* the evening he should have served the stuffed cabbage!

He was too busy scrapping ice off the boat at that time. I guess it was slim pickins that day for the crew with plenty of iced tea....

Had the Boss out today. Nice day..Sunny but very breezy near 50. Driveway full of leaves again...gotta clean that up before rain tomorrow. Opened up the Boss a few times...can't get enough of that sound!

Gonna take Son's M3 in to my service guys for an oil change Monday. Takes special oil (like the Boss) which he ordered. The dealership (not BMW) where he bought the car offered free oil changes when he bought the car (used) but we all know they wouldn't be worried about putting the right grade oil in, right? Just the regular 10W30 and be on your way......

I don't Believe it !!!! My LOUSY Giants beat the Chiefs in OT with a FG...now 2-8.... going no where...but fast...

I watched the game in KC. Not a happy crowd here.

Grew up watching Da Bears. I feel your pain.

I remember the '85/'86 Bears...They were unstoppable!..with their potent offense (Walter Payton) and defense (Fridge & Company) Ditka was smiling......Maybe not on TV.......

Bad weekend here in Boss Land. Son called a little after 2 AM Sunday from the back seat of a police car(handcuffed)!...Seems he flirted with the WRONG female at the club He went to and paid the price by getting jumped in the parking lot at closing time. Black eye, bruised knee, bruised ego, lumps on his head, lost keys...could have been much worse if a gun or knife came into play! I hope he learned a valuable lesson here. He wasn't arrested, Why should he be! He was the one who got beat up!!! I stayed away from clubs in my "Prime Time" for Good reason....I hope he feels the same, now!

On a much brighter note...It's Thanksgiving Week!!! Taking the Boss to Stew Leonard's ( I know most of you have no clue what I'm referring to) later to get our Fresh turkey and other stuff. Weather will be nice sunny ...low 50's ..I'll take it.............in case I don't get to it...Everybody have a Great Thanksgiving!!!!!
