Helping a friend sort out a his 2015 GT. Was wondering whats a better bet, the GT350 kit with manifold, TB and CAI? or going to a complete Cobrajet kit? I was surprised that I could not find a complete Cobrajet kit (TB manifld and gt500 tb) for the S550. Are there any incompatibilities?

Cobra Jet will make a little more power, but it's a moot point--it won't fit under the S550 hood.

Get the GT350 Manifold.

I think I have seen some people try it by cutting away the underside of the hood. I think FPRP actually did this on their 5.2L crate engine display/demo car.

I bought the FPP Performance Pack 3, which consists of the entire GT350 induction path (manifold, throttle-body, air filter), partly because the kit includes a Ford-developed tune and I am interested in tuning. I wanted to see what sort of changes Ford engineers made. I see, not surprisingly, that the control schemes used in our new ECMs are very different than earlier ones I am familiar with. The PP3 rev-limit is raised to 7500 rpm.

The whole kit is tempting but the GT has headers and a AED tune so I imagine the canned Ford tune would be out of wack already

Can use aftermarket engine mounts and get another 3/4". Drew... how much clearance is needed?
