The dreaded "back-order" email just hit my inbox.... oh well.

I'm doubling down, the 315/30/19s are still listed. Not nearly the discount, but $50 each less than tire rack. These were what I really wanted to begin with. Doesn't hurt to try.

"I think you guys are getting too particular with the build dates, race tires have "newer" build date"

Not really, I have seen tires with build dates 5+ years old. Some tire shops don't want to mount them. I believe some states ( NY & Ca) will not allow them to be sold after 6 yrs (talking street tires here)

The two 315/30/19 PSC2 I ordered now show shipped with a delivery of 12/8.

My MPSS's were promised for next week but the tracking status is "in transit to the store" from a nearby FedEx hub. They'll probably be there this week.

My MPSC2's were promised this week, but I got the "backordered" email on them this afternoon. I checked the website earlier this evening and they were still "order processing" but I checked again just now and the status has flipped to "just shipped" so there's hope for them arriving next week.

So far, so good. My MPSS's are coming from Florida, by the way. It's hard to think of a warehouse site further away from Washington State. I wonder where the MPSC2's ship from.

My original order of 98Y 305/30's was marked "just shipped" this morning! I was expecting to see "order cancelled".

I guess i need to cancel my second order 102Y 315/30's...

I received this email today about the 4 305/30R19 Sport Cup 2 tires I ordered at $195.81 each shipped. I guess Walmart found a way to back out of all the orders they received.

We're really sorry, but one or more items you purchased are currently on backorder and may be delayed. We'll be getting more inventory and will fill your order as soon as we can.

If we can't ship the items by 12/08, we'll cancel the items, begin processing your refund and let you know by email.

My order hasn't been cancelled yet. I just live chatted with walmart and I was told that their system shows that the order has been placed and not cancelled and that the tires show an estimated delivery date of 12/15.

The four 305s left California yesterday.

I requested a cancellation of the four 315s, but if they actually ship should I just keep them for later....hmmm.

I picked up the full set of 4 MPSS's today and the two rear 315 MPSC2's. Safely tucked away in my storage locker for next year. The MPSC2 305 fronts are showing back ordered and subject to cancellation. I'm hoping for the best. When I picked up the tires today, one of the techs in the WM service bays was telling me about her GT350 and that she was running 325's at the rear. It's a small world when it comes to big tires.

AND, I just checked and my last pair of 305 MPSC2's just flipped to "Just Shipped".

Just to close this off, I bought and received 8 tires - a full set of PSC2's with current date codes and the right part numbers for the GT350R and a full set of MPSS's with current date codes and the right part numbers for the GT350. Total cost was about $1,700, or just over $200 a tire.
