Steve, do you remember how close the rim is with the 30mm spacer? I just ordered a set of MCS coilovers, and the biggest spacers I have are 25mm.

With the 315 Goodrich R1 clearance was 4mm tire to strut, 8 mm wheel to strut. We had a 5 mm flat spacer on the hub then 25mm hubcentric spacer over that. That way the hubcentric spacer still registers on the hub and the wheel registers on the spacer. With ARP studs the lug nut makes all 10 threads in a Ford Racing open lug nut. Barely.

Just battery monitoring today. Glad I (finally) swapped out the OEM battery in the Boss. While it didn't die, it's certainly took a rapid turn towards faster self discharge and would have likely failed on me sooner than later. Coming off a 13.6V float, in 3.5 days it's already down to 12.75V disconnected. It used to take about 2.5 or 3 weeks to get that low with the car's parasitic draw.

It had to come out anyway since it had a crack at the base of the negative terminal:

Probably happened after a track day last year.

When I was installing the B2015 on the Boss, I noticed a lot of scuffs on the tray from lateral movement of the battery:

Didn't notice it on the GT, probably because the Boss is waaay cleaner. But it looks like 1/2"+ of movement took its toll on the negative terminal. I think anybody tracking their car with OEM type batteries should check that it's secure. The spacer/blocks are probably too small to prevent lateral movement.

Grant. You were right to get a new battery for your Boss. Mine OEM died in Jan after 6 plus yrs and I'm sure the frigid weather we had back then had a lot to do with it. As I mentioned before, The OEM battery in my 2001 Crown Vic was still going strong after 7 yrs, but I replaced because I didn't know how long I could push my luck..........

Oil change
New set of Motorcraft spark plugs
Russel brake and Mcleod clutch lines, flush with ATE Type 200 DOT4
Blowfish shifter bracket and front tow hook
Checked stock brakes for pad and disc wear - non-brembo for me :(

Ready for my first track event!

I went from a Ford Racing short throw/two post bracket (I believe this come standard on the Boss??) to just the FR short throw with BF bracket.
What a difference! I have a particularly sloppy MT82 (not the first owner) and this made it so much better. A little of the "marble" rattle but it is worth it.

Couldn't get race pads in time but they will be here along with new Centric rotors for my next outing.
Stock brakes were changed recently so I've got at least 80-90% pad left front/rear.

Swapped the OE transmission fluid to Royal Purple 75W-90. Feels about the same, maybe slightly better, when cold but definitely feels better at temp. Hoping this helps the transmission survive longer.
Started installing my brake cooling ducts but one of the brand new fasteners for the backing plate snapped off and is stuck in the threading, just my luck. Don't have an extractor so that has been put on hold temporarily.

Swapped out the MM Camber/Caster plates for the FR500C/Boss 302S Camber plate. I did a bearing swap to fit the 5/8 shaft on the JRI's AURORA COM-10T-18. The stock bearing was a 3/4 ID COM-12. I bought sleeves just in case. Saved the sleeves and bearing just as backups when need be. Trimmed the shock tower a littler more then I did before to get strut top clearance when pushed all the way in.
I pulled the tops all the way outboard and still hit 3* camber, right where I wanted them at. Turn in is about the same but corner grip much improved! They will stay on the car.

It’s not much, at most 5mm. The rim touched the MCS strut with a 25mm spacer. Once you get your wheels, test fit them and then call Optimum Performance. They can have a larger spacer made for you.

I think it is normal. I have almost the same reaction anytime I've driven any late '14+ cars. All waaay softer. And yes, that's including the last MT82 S197s. Pretty sure there was a running change on the clutch in advance of the S550 release.

I recently picked up an OMP HTE Carbon off of somebody semi-local, I also ordered a Planted seat bracket to go with it. after installing it I have never been so grateful to have already bought a quick release for my steering wheel because if it wasn't for that climbing in and out would be a struggle with my preferred driving position. the install was a breeze and took all of an hour from start to finish and after taking it on a couple of 20 minute drives I can tell a big difference.

also don't mind the cushion I've already ordered one to go with it.
