In the V6L
Ford Racing used to publish a spares list for the various race cars - 302S, 302R, etc - and it had all the spare part numbers on it. The spares were available from FR, not from subcontractors like Multimatic. If you search on the FP website you might still find these spares lists. Whether they'll sell you the parts if you don't actually own one of the race cars is an open question though.

Beautiful GT4! Please share more photos. I'm building another car and would love to see additional photos of the bare shell ( and everything else)

I would like to know what parts they have available. I cant find a single part they make/sell.
gotcha, the 302R suspension parts such as front lower control arms/bushings, rear lower control arms/bushings, oil pan, clutch line, power brake booster and the like are in the Ford Performance catalog. Search "302R" on the Ford Performance Parts website and you'll see a vast majority of the unique parts. Multimatic made the rear upper control arm, but as far as I know, you cannot buy direct from them. Kohr Motorsports sell this arm for $700.

As far as shocks and suspension, as the years went buy and the 302R cars were raced in different classes, many different brands were used. Penske racing shocks was on allot of the fast cars.

Side story, my best friend is from the Ontario area and went to Multimatic during his last visit with Family (Thanksgiving time). They would not sell him any spares.

Great thanks! Keep them coming. Nice to see how they stitch welded the shell. Very helpful to see at this stage as the body panels on completed cars hide so much of the detail.

Too bad they aren't closer so you can stop by daily and check up on your new GT4.

Moar pics!

Woah wait. GT4 ‘s don’t have long tube headers. They use stock headers with a kooks system.

Good heavens, I do believe you're correct. What on earth could those folks at Multimatic be up to??

Treynor

Any plans to run engine dyno on your motor?...or have you done this already?

Already done. 585 BHP :D

It can easily be reset down to GT4 specs. But unless I'm running in a series which requires that restriction... ain't nobody got time for that.

Could it have gotten 600 with the CJ intake? It probably won't fit under the hood but you'll need all the power you can get chasing those Ferrari's.

I'm really curious to see how this does vs the 458 Challenge. The Mustang's heavier but it has more tire under it, and a better braking system, and a bit more HP. I bet it's really close.

We'll have a chance to see soon enough - I'll just have to join #Racewife at the track one of these days...
