Not sure what codes popped, but it will be going back to fix the splitter reinstallation. Looks like the center section is not right not sitting flush. I may just do it myself though.

Can't even drive the car, the registration expired while they had the car and I'm going out of town again so can't take care of it anytime soon.
Finally got to drive the car and put some miles on the new engine. I think the new engine is still quieter or the cold piston slap goes away sooner. The original noise, which I still have no idea as to the cause, has not returned. It's a little maddening not being able to run the car up to redline.

Ford is adding two years to my warranty. I don't know the details yet, but I'll take it.

The splitter re-install was "ok", but missing two fasteners. I had some motorcycle bodywork bolts that filled in well.

Took the mustang out for Track night yesterday. Did my first session feeling out the power pack 3 and first time on the track this year. Big improvement over stock. Went out for second session blew the clutch. Pedal went to the floor and stayed there, got it back up and would not move the car. Pulled over in the grass and I could shift trans into gear with no clutch and car sat still. Went to my ford dealer and service manager said they will cover it. I have 5000 miles on it. Plus since I got the car I have been complaining about the clutch not being right. Can’t get car into shop for at least a week and half.

When did it get so bad to get a car in for service?? The Ford dealer that I bought my GT350 got a bit of extra change from the deal so you would think you would some increased level of service. Nope! Full up for two weeks to check something that caused me to cancel a road trip. Message to service manager went unanswered. Will not darken their door again.

The customer service at service drives is just terrible now.

Getting my FRS serviced at Toyota is just as bad. It took months to get a radio replaced, when they got one in, they failed to call me to arrange an appointment and the parts department returned it. The onus seems to be on the customer to get anything done or get feedback as to what's going on.

It used to be auto body repair was really bad. If they said two weeks, you would get the car in four. Now they knock that stuff out pretty quick. Mechanical service seems to be going the other direction.

Rant over.

Still breaking in my new engine. They overfilled the sump a bit, old oil in the cooler I guess. A little too late to worry about that if it had anything in it.

I like where this is going.

My first brand new 2018 blew the clutch out bone stock on the freeway just normal driving at 2300 miles. It would also lock itself out of every gear doing any kind if spirited driving, so i was on the way to the dealer to address it when the pressure plate tore apart. Im on my second car now and have 4k with zero issues so far

It still don’t shift into 2nd and 3rd gear without grinding. I am taking it to another ford dealer that has a good tranny guy.
