I love fresh roasted or smoked turkey anytime. I’ll be doing a beer butt chicken soon with my new beer butt canister. Photo later.

My mother has a bread machine, thinking on asking her to help with the dough but store bought sounds easy too. So bake it on full blast? My oven goes up to 550F, really?
Pizzeria brick oven temps reach 750F and above, so 550F will work. Just keep an eye on it after 10 mins...;)

Higher temps certainly work for thinner crusts and thinly topped pizzas. @ 500ºF, I'd use ~8 to 8 1/2 mins or so for a medium thickness and a few toppings. A good convection @ 400ºF could cut that to ~4 mins. Depends what equipment you got and how thick you want it!

No pics but tomatoes went into yesterdays tacos.

"Secret" ingredient today for grilled cheese is mayo...on the outside. :D ;)

I gotta get the grille going again. Ribs n tenderloin sounding pretty good right now.

My variation is I let the pie rest on a cooling rack after it’s out and brush on olive oil infused with garlic and crushed red pepper (think bread mop) on the crust while it sits

I like doing that with butter too. Usually after baking, but sometimes before.

Another day.. does the food fest rage carry on or does it end now? Summer watermelon is great when you get a good one. We've had 6 so far, all delicious..Hon finishing the last one yesterday. Summer peaches are starting to appear..get em while you can! Native corn needs no explanation as do garden grown tomatoes. Once apples start entering the picture, you know the party is winding down.
