The Recaros do have airbags and you should disconnect the battery before removing the seats. I’d disconnect it regardless when installing the AB

Thanks for the help. I got it installed but not working- brake pedal lights up, clutch pedal lights up when I engage them. Everything seems to be calibrated but it is not blipping. I have tried moving the dials but no luck. I have a note into AutoBlip. I am assuming it is installed correctly if my brake and clutch pedals work?

I switched the blue wires on the throttle and bingo was his name! Thanks for the help! Andres did say should not matter what wire it was on - so I am assuming I did not have a good connection first time around. Only concern was the wrench light came on but then went off after a minute or 2 (update from Andres - normal to have this happen) Has not come back on and went for a test run - a little tricky to get it dialed in but i likey.

Is the AB difficult to use on the street or not really designed for it?
Hi Tommy,

I have it installed in my car as a training wheel to help me get more comfortable with heel-toe on the tracks. My goals are. 1) Protecting the engine from me over-revving when downshift. 2) Keeping as much power at the wheel as possible between shift points.

I do my heel-toe practices on off-ramps and at traffic lights. My goal is to be able to turn off the auto-blip and be comfortable heel-toe on the track.

This is my plan so I have not engage it on the street except to make sure it is working before going to an event. The unit is very easy to use once it is wired correctly and you can tune it to your personal preference with the delay and duration.

My $0.02 is that it is not necessary for the street.

Good luck and have fun.

Where the auto blip excels is in situations where you need three feet. Breaking while downshifting setting up for a turn on track.
On the street AB will get you interesting looks. More like “Can’t the jerk shift” looks. It’s just not needed.

I installed Autoblip and agree it is too intrusive during street driving. However it occurred to me that if it could be disabled below a certain speed, similar to Savvy with the Valentine 1, it would be fun. I would think you could wire a speed-activated switch into the power line and have it shut off below maybe 25mph. Does this sound feasible? If so does anyone know of such a switch?
