Just tighten it spec (or a little more) and get a hose clamp the right size and put it on the hex. Then you have something to safety wire to. Or maybe make a little bracket or tab and put that under the hose clamp and orientate it so that is hits the block (or something) such that it can't easily unscrew.

Just found the same problem on my 17 with ~3400 miles. I pulled into the garage and smelled oil when I got out of the car then ended up putting on the lift. There's oil all over the belly pan, down the transmission and on the exhaust.

It loosened to the point it was finger tight. I'm going to try some thread sealant that's also a thread locker.

1200 miles on GT350 and my oil sending unit is leaking.
Car is at Ford and tech says not to drive it as it can fail abruptly. So the car is down.
They say there is a TSB.
Replacement is out of stock and they have "an emergency request" put out for it. So we will see.

How long did others have to wait?

Thanks.
