Well , Jeff ,guess you will just have to satisfy your " Need for Speed, " on that slow old track up near Lake Seneca , NY! I think it is called Walls all around the Glen Race Course. Friends tell me how fast you go through the " Bus Stop," depends. In other words you can go through there about as quick as you want, as long as you are wearing , Depends!?

I ran into electronic TCS/ESC problems and this is the only lap I could get in. On the upside, the car feels great and still bested my pb driving only 8/10th. There is a lot of potential here and I hope to get out sooner than later to lay down some proper laps.

Badger,

That was a solid 1:30 without that S2000 taking your line and delaying your power delivery. Betting on 1:28s-1:29s with no electronic gremlins ,next time.

Appreciate you giving me some late afternoon entertainment -- nice to watch after coming in from shoveling snow!

You have a PM.

Stock GT350R on Hoos R7's at Sebring: 2:23.22

That is just crazy quick. My best was actually 2:33 - Sunday 2nd session (misread the 2:28).

On a side note, I discovered fairly significant metallic rust type deposits on the CF wheels when I cleaned them up on Monday (see photo). I was using Raybestos ST-45 pads for the first time and they performed great but am really concerned with this being a continuing problem. The brake dust was only on the wheels for the two days.
I have removed the stains with Carpro Iron X remover but am somewhat concerned about the clear coat finish of the wheels being impacted by this cleaner, even though it claims to be safe for all surfaces. Wondering if anyone has had a similar problem with metallic brake pad dust doing this to a wheel?

Got a BOSS 302r ABS module to mend the TCS/ETC gremlins and went back to the track. It worked out nicely to say the least.
The day was busy with traffic and I only got two clean laps in. Not enough time to hit all the marks right away, but the results are solid nevertheless.

I guess our PC2 battle paid off IRL!

I`m kind of split on PC2. It helps a lot if you don´t drive the track a lot but it doesn't really help if you do. I`d blame that on their tire model. The things that you can do in the sim are not even remotely close to what is in real life. Also T3 looks very different in person than it does in the game and t8 is nowhere as bumpy. That said, we still got to beat Brett!

You better be running a 1:25 in your car next time :)

Let the smack talk begin .....

Quit Badgering AZBoss, we all know he can run 1:25?! You and I both realize that after laying down the gauntlet Drew will simply smile and rip off a 1:24!

Heh, you only have a bit over 6/10ths to sneak into the 1:26 times? Killer run, my friend!!!

1:25 was where the rest of the ST2 group was when I was at WSIR for the first (and so far, last) time. That was also the end of the "first era" of the car on non-motorsports parts. So between equipment and driver there is plenty of time left there.

I have faith in you and your car. I hope you gonna be there for two days so you have one day to get used to the track and setup the car and the next day to slay it in the morning session.

I'm pulling up the rear on Road Atlanta it looks like.

NASA Southeast was at Road Atlanta March 9th and 10th for the "Race for the Pi" event.

2013 V6 Auto Mustang.
285/35/18 RS4 tires on 18x10 wheels (most important thing likely)
3:55 Torsen Differential
BMR K Member
Polyurethane A-Arm Bushings
Koni front struts

1:49.33 and 1:49.35

The second lap is more fun to watch as I get passed by a Honda and have to figure out how to do it without giving up time. A racer taught me to breath the throttle and get in line behind people in these scenarios and iwll hold neither of you up. and the lap time shows it didn't! I also passed a slow rolling Thunder Roadster on the outside of 12 at teh end of this clip.

Virtual best was a 1:48.76, so got close!

Is anyone scoring damp laps? It was 50 degrees and raining both mornings I was there this weekend. The Hankook's were shiznit in this weather, so I put on my daily driver Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires and attacked. Sunday morning was better, I got a 2:02.81, and it was not misting or raining, but no dry line was apparent yet. Saturday morning (the second set of videos), were 2:04.27 and 2:04.54 when consistent, and a couple of passes are thrown in for good measure!!

I was also instructing a fellow a fellow member here named Chandler from Charlotte. On that first wet lap his girlfriend was in the car with me.

Chandler apparently wants to go spec iron racing.. I ran a 360 video with him in the car when we got turned loose after a double yellow and the DE3-4 combined session was in a massive clump.

When you said Honda , pretty much figured it had to be an S2000, as you are turning nice laps at RA. Remember running the Panoz school cars ( V8s and a lot less weight) and a few of us were running quicker than you , but the bulk of our group were in the 1:50s, so solid times. Thanks for posting, this is one of my favorite tracks and always good to see videos of the tricky lady!

She looks good in Michelin colors! I think if my RE71R didnt cord at Roebling or I bought another set I’d easily be 1-2 seconds quicker but I prioritize durability now
