Stainless Brake Lines for 15'' Brembos?

This site may earn a commission from merchant affiliate links, including eBay, Amazon, and others.

Hey guys,

Putting the big 15'', 6 Piston Brembo's on my '06 Mustang. Did some searching and couldn't find any options for upgrading to stainless lines. Seems like every set I saw excluded the '13-GT500 Brembos.

What options have you guys found?

Thanks in advance!

Thank you both! Super helpful.

I will definitely give them a call. already have their spacers, didn’t see the brakes section on their site!

Just felt wrong to install these nice calipers with the rubber lines they provide.

Well , easy to understand , since both 2012 Boss and I have white Stangs -- just think of us as the good guys in the white hats , er, white helmets! Yep, White Bosses are just super helpful guys, even AZ Boss wrapped his car so it was mostly white , because he is such a nice , helpful guy, too !!!!!

Glad you guys are around to help the colorful Mustang owners like myself try to catch up!!

(I had googled it and used the search bar, but it was actually a hard thing to google! Sometimes you just need a human answer)

Also good to support the sponsors when possible. Make it worth their while so they can keep doing their thing.

Dang , Trace, where is the love, I never once mentioned your AARP membership, and let's face it, the three of us are all in the more mature drivers of this site, ha.

At a little over 5'8" I don't consider myself short, just the perfect size for a race car, ha, ha.

PS - you forgot to mention bald, let's get in all those positive dynamics, hehe.

Quick note - (sorry to interrupt the tomfoolery momentarily!)

Stainless lines have been ordered.

I will say, from the pictures the fittings look like they are different shapes, but when I spoke to OP he said they will work!

(The ones that come with the Ford kit are square where they attach to the caliper, the Goodridge ones look rectangular to my eyes but it could be the photo?).

I guess we will see when they come in/get on the car.

Out of curiosity, is anyone here running these lines on the 6 piston brembos and can confirm they do mate up?

Just when I thought my 06' had enough brakes you had to create this thread. Great- looks like I have a brake upgrade(again) in the near future.

I tried to justify the need for these bad boys by saying “the stock calipers are 14yrs old... they’ve had a hard, full life”...

The other (smaller) Brembos probably would have been sufficient, at least for me. But where’s the fun in that?

Plus they made them in black, how can you say no?

Using the pads that come with the kit to start.

And yes there’s ducting:
Agent 47 front lower facia grille
3” Specfab racing bracket

And you’re right, gotta factor in the wheels & tires, but I was longgg overdue on both of those so it worked out nicely.

Shout out to Apex on that!
