Nicely done @Jza1736 - The front spoiler looks great. I have BFR's rear tow hook and need to get it on as well. How would you describe removing the rear bumper. I think removing the front is quite easy but hear the rear is a bear. Also when you remount the rear, I'd like to see how the cutout worked.

I don't think it was any harder then the front. There was at least 25 screws in my front splitter....

I gave myself an extra job with it. My rear valence got melted from my muffler being to close after I put the straight pipes on. I figured since I'm removing the back bumper, now would be the prefect time to replace it. That's why I didn't finish today. Separating the rear valance from the bumper was a real PITA. But, it did make it very easy to mark out the cut out for the tow hook bracket.

Hopefully I'll finish it up next weekend [emoji16]

The rear takes all of 5 minutes.

jaa,
Been there with a different vehicle melting the rear bumper cover and replacement is the best answer. Commend you on that, have seen so many where guys tried cutting out the section and then hilariously trying to do the other outlet to match, ha. Nice work and hope we see more posts from you?

Thanks Bill,

I'm a firm believer in, "do it right or don't do it at all".

This was the best time to do it, with everything coming off for the tow hook. The new valance should be here Tuesday.

Spent three hours changing out the oil and tranny fluid as well as bleeding the brakes. All while the car was on jacks. I'm getting too old for this as I tweaked a muscle in my upper back. And I the only one that finds the fill plug on the MT-82 a pain in the ass? I used a cheap siphon transfer pump kit to put in the Royal Purple Synchromax but twice the damn hose popped out of the pump and jettisoned fluid all over the under body and floor. First the bottom hose and then the top. The clean up was a royal pain. I've gotta find a better fluid transfer system.

Didn't get to the Diff fluid yet or new brake pads but today's another day.

When the pump is dry and clean I wrapped the hose to the pump with electrical tape. I had the same issue with mine.

I find the dif fill is easier to get to then the tranny. And I also work off of Jack stands.

Tried to bring my car back from the dead. It had been sitting for years, couldn't pass smog (long tubes) and life got busy, so it sat. Had a lot of time and thinking put into it so I wanted to stay with the platform despite it's inferiority to newer cars.

With tons of help from a friend, we got it smogged and prepped and finally out to a trackday last weekend.

Recap on the car:
Cortex offset JRi DA coilovers
35mm sway bar up front, the skinny v6 bar in the back
Cortex watts link and LCAs and brackets
BMR spherical UCA
Sparco evo2 seat and Watson roll bar
Carbotech XP24s and Castrol SRF
Cooltech oil cooler (Setrab cooler and Greddy remote mounted thermostatic oil filter block)
Fluidyne radiator

My to do list was vast for a guy like me:
Prothane front LCA bushings
Ford racing M-3200-EPAS steering rack
Maximum Motorsports k member
Remove long tubes for stock setup
Remove Airaid CAI
Remove Peterson crankcase breather
Square Forgestar CF5 18x12s and 305/35/18 NT01s
Reinstalled Stoptech ST60s/380mm front brakes
Moroso aluminum oil pan
Reconfigure oil cooler to use a thermostatic sandwich plate (rather than the remote mounted Grex/Greddy unit in the cooltech kit--much easier to now get to oil filter)

Tyme, get one of these -- I've had it several years, and it works great.

I added a ball valve for good start/stop flow control, and a reducer fitting for the tranny. See this thread:

The Lube Mover will give you more tyme for more enjoyable tasks.

Good ideas, but. Try not to swap fluids. If you use it for gear oil stay with gear oil. Cross contamination can be brutal. I will be buying a few HD specials, tube and fittings soon.
TS and I had a lovely time putting gear oil in the diff of my Boss at the round up last year. Don't want to repeat that.
