@Fabman did you one-off the flares on your car or purchase them?
Those were prototypes from Trackspec Motorsports. I think only 3 sets were ever made.
If one gets crashed I am going to be in trouble. But I guess as long as my motor is blown up I won't have to worry about that....see how life gives you those little unexpected pleasures?

Tried to get ahold of someone at Track Spec about flares, but didn’t hear from anyone. Love their hood vents though, one of the best things I did to the car

They aren't producing them....he's deep into the spec corvette series down south and I think that's taking all his time/interest these days.

Holy Crap Sal, just watched that fireball of an engine. What the heck let go ?
Unfortunately the pan wasn't strong enough to contain the rods. Silly me.
That motor had a million hours on it and it was built for the 1/4 mile, so it had every reason to give up.....just picked a rotten time to do it.

Everything gone or enough to rebuild?
Car is still in the trailer.....I expect to save the hood. Anything beyond that is a bonus.

If the heads aren't destroyed I can do a short block....that would be ideal. Stay tuned.

Not to derail the thread but you could do a Coyote swap for around $5k all in
That would be my recommendation as well.

Anyone know anything about these flares? :)

I did have a bunch of pics saved of cars with these flares from when I was flare shopping, and they do look pretty good, but I may have dumped the file cause I can't find it ATM.
EDIT: (They do however in these pics have a funny leading edge to them that I didn't notice on the race cars that have them)
They are more rounded than the ones I have so the style is different, but they look to be a quality piece IMHO. Pretty much all there is left on the market that doesn't have that "Drift" or "Stance" flavor to them....at least as far as I know. Here are a couple from the website:gen-ii-body-kit-02.jpggen-ii-body-kit-17.jpg
