Ok, toting up the costs.... Looks like the family will go on vacations with out me!!
Probably go with the Mishimoto with a setrab 948 and the oem cooler and see how the temps are...

The CR rad looks great but if I add a oil cooler to it it will crimp the budget for rest of the repairs too much.

Does anyone have the part numbers for the brake lines that come out of brake bump. Six hoses and half of them are crimped or broken. Cant see them in the tasca diagrams... We would make them up but it would be quicker to replace them.

I would go with a Setrab. Their quality is awesome. The Cool Tech package is a bit pricey but comes with the Setrab 172, brackets, fittings, and oil filter plate. And the 172 has lots less pressure loss than the Mishimoto and even the 9xx series Setrab coolers.

That is what I did. However, I may swap out the Setrab oil filter plate for the Mishimoto version because the M has sensor ports. Debating doing that because I'm nervous about drilling the plate. I tried an AN swivel fitting with s port but I wasn't comfortable with the sensor being so close to other things.

If you go with the 9xx series Setrab cooler I have a brand new bracket in black made by TMO's own 06mach1. For you, you can have it by just covering the shipping costs.

A few links that might help you track down oil cooler components:

A lot of the name brand (i.e. setrab, improved racing, moroso) sandwich plates don't have provisions for temp sensors. But, you can add a sensor inline.

I would run -12AN if you can. I know you drive your car on the street some, so you might consider a thermostat.

And, I am not sure if I would use the Mishimoto sandwich plate. I am looking for a couple threads that I think mentioned issues with getting the adapter to seal properly. Also, depending on your temp sensor, you may have some fitment issues:

The CoolTech kits are very well executed. But, you need to keep the stock Boss oil cooler. This combination will effectively cool the oil, but your coolant temps with go up 10 - 20 degrees based on my personal observations.

Sure understand the " Fund Factor," as it relates to your " Fun Factor!?" With your misfortune one has to balance costs, speed of repairs, and one last component which is extremely difficult to adhere to - common sense. It is so cool that so many folks on TMO are offering encouragement , advice , and information, but I know we all respect that you can't just spend Pesos to the max on all your needs, so compromise is in the stars. Balancing what you can and can not do is the tough part , and I know I appreciate knowing what you are able to implement? Saying all this, I hope follks will continue to send you their thoughts, experiences , etc. as you never know what else may pop up for you to use in the repair , that someone on TMO has had a good experience with???

If I recall, any issues with aftermarket sandwich plates revolved around incompatibilities with the Boss 302 oil filter adapter.

There is no problem sealing directly to the block.

Looking back through a couple older threads, you are correct. The Mishimoto O-ring sealing issue is only when used in conjunction with the OEM oil to water cooler. I would take a good look at the sensor mounting, though.

And, I forgot the short that the short oil filter adapter may be needed too, depending on how the "kit" is put together:

Yes, when I put the sandwich plate for the Oil temp sensor we had to go back to the stock short oil filter. The Ford Racing one was to tall with the OEM boss oil cooler

I suppose it's better to build on a budget than to sit out because you cannot get the finest. I'd rather run than sit but never sacrifice safety. Even if it means you can't be the fastest on the track, I'd still be running than not.

Looks like the right shock tower is bent in about 1.5cm... I see that for sell the whole shock tower set up of three
parts all together
