PP2 EcoBoost Mustang?

I have driven a well tuned EB mustang and to be honest its quite fun. Obviously doesnt have the same sound and feel of a v8 but has plenty of torque to make the car feel lively. Not my cup of tea but would make for a real fun track car on the cheap for someone who doesnt want to shell out 45k+ for a GT with PP1

This is an interesting option - lower powered cars can be as fast or faster than heavier higher powered cars - it comes down to weight distribution and driver skill.

The problem with the Mustang PP vehicles for track use is that, unlike the Shelby's, they don't have enough cooling. Overheating is chronic without adding extra radiators and fans. Now, if Ford puts good cooling in an Ecoboost Mustang PP, it would be a blast to drive fast.

i can 100% tell you its going to at a bare minimum need an aftermarket intercooler. The one that comes from the factory is a joke. After a single gear pull they are heat soaked. Now they might have fixed that since but ive owned a Focus ST (which i tracked) and worked on and drove an eb mustang which just had terrible intercoolers. My Focus ST though could go bell to bell at 100% and never really had any cooling issues with a tune and a few bolt ons.

I looked up the Ford Performance "Power Pack" for the Mustang Ecoboost (M-9603-M4) and they claim +100 HP at 6000 RPM. Stock is 310HP at 6000, so that puts the boosted output at 410HP. Oh, and it comes with a warranty too.

I'm sure an EB Mustang with this kind of power and that fat turbo torque curve would be lots of fun to drive, but it'll need some serious cooling.

330 hp and 350 ft lbs of torque with the PP2 using beefed up internals from the European Edition. The motors for the cars will be built in Valencia , Spain as the added strength in the Euro engines , allowed more boost. Now , if they would just beef up the tranny or give us a tranny cooler, we could have another Giant Killer from the Blue Oval!?
