LOL!!

Well we got the car to the track with the paint still wet and a long night..... Car was great, ended up third in my catergory behind a really nice 3 series bmw and a Prosche GT3.... Only got 4 laps, had to pull in due to the right A-arm being loose o_O..... But the car could win tomorrow!! Feels light and nimble:)..... We had no time (or energy) to change the rear springs so went out with 500# fronts and still with 350# rears..... very tired!

Alas, you are no longer in Wonderland , Madhatter. The bad dream is over and I am betting on a triumphant day, where you are the rabbit and your competition falls into a hole!

Thanks guys! Car went well, I was a bit rusty though.... Managed to lead my categoria for most of the first race and then spun out with three laps to go dropping back to third place... ended up third after a foto finish for second place, a Z4 just managed to keep a ahead of me by a few meters.

Second race was fun with a long battle with a GT3 (street version). Ended up 2nd overall for the day behind the GT3.... I am a tad faster but the GT3 is really hard to pass. Looking forward to seeing how the car does with the splitter back on and the hood grills installed.

Due to the rush to get the car ready we had the 500# springs up front with 350# in the rear. Next time out will have 300# in the rear. Was suprized that the car went very well... Though I did spin on a fast corner, about 90mph, after lifting of to avoid a slower car up front. Tire was fine, but banged up my Apex wheel quite a bit.. Lucky I had a spare.

True...!! At the start of the day I would have been very happy with a second place... But looking back, I blew the first race, and that put me behind the GT3, So the car went great... But I was weak link that screwed up.... Need to get points back!!! Am very much behind!

Coz, thanks again for the Setrab base! With the 915 cooler the tranny went from 250 to 180 degrees, The engine temps where very close to before with 2max temps of 270 for the oil.... Next week we will have time to install the engine cooler. Its was a mad rush to get the car on track.

Its right in front on the main grill ... But I think we will but the engine cooler in that location later. Next race hopefully we will not be rushed so we can get better data....

A quick summary of how the car went! The first of two 20min sprints, the car went great. Got a best lap of 1:10.495, slightly ahead of a 2018 porsche GT3 thats has been leading the category while the car has been in the shop. Had the race in the bag with the GT3 behind me when I lifted on a high speed corner and and lost the rear of the car (not the first time.... ). So the GT3 could pass me and so did me previous rival, a BMW Z4.... I gave chase but with three laps to go I was just a few meters short of passing the Z4 so ended up in third place.

So second race started with me in third behind the GT3 and Z4. Due to the previous crash we have some electrical gremlins appearing, cylinder miss fire in #4 and #5, the car was a second slower second time out. Managed to pass the Z4 and tried to pass the gt3 but could not gain on him on the straights and that thing is very tidy in the corners. He got a 5 sec penalty and I was delighted!!! till I got a 5sec penalty as well for passing on a yellow...:(.. but we had a large lead so I ended up in second behind the GT3 and ahead of the Z4.

The car handled well and the Pagid RST1 pads are amazing... these are the same pads I ran the 3 hour enduro on and they are still going strong... passed many cars on braking zone thanks to them. Lucky for me lots of people run Hawk pads ;). With the 500# spings up front I had no push, and I thought the 350# rears would keep me from putting the power down but it was not nearly as bad as I thought. looking forward to seeing what the 300# rear springs will be like.

I tried the racers360 tips... Late Braking till the apex and basically going from braking to throttle right away, certainly seemed to help. No under-steer and a happy tail during exit.

Due too not having any kind splitter up front too speak of, the hood ballooned a lot on the straights and am sure I lost some speed. The spin on the high speed curve made me start thinking again about a wing.....

Next race out, will try the 15" s550 Brembos to see if I can use them too pass the GT3. Those will be with the Gloc R18's

Hopefully you got your G -Locs pre-bedded? Ran Carbotechs when Danny Puskar was with them , and after the family split into two Companies have been running the G-Locs. Recommend to our customers to get them pre-bedded as personally the process to bed them in is a pain and tough to do , especially , for those that have vehicles that are not legal for the streets? Great write up and imagine a wing and front splitter would help you carve through the corners even better. Nice comment on the Racers360 tips and the kudos seem to keep coming for those guys?!

PS - we no longer actively pursue brake pad sales , and I would suggest to others to contact Optimum Performance for their G-Loc needs - see sidebar link.

Easy to tell , just check the box -- it will be listed at pre-bedded on the box. Of course , G-Loc could have changed their procedure and Pre-Bed all their pads, so to be sure just drop Opt. Performance a note.
