Tragedy in the neighborhood yesterday!!!! I hate to burden you with this, but I gotta let it out someplace....My next door neighbor of over 30 yrs passed away Sunday a little after 6pm. Anna was 86 and not doing so good for the last few weeks...family and friends were coming by on a regular basis for a while to see how she doing. Her passing was not a shocker. The shocker happened later after the funeral home took her body away.......Her 53 yr old son John, who lived in the same house (next door) nailed his door shut and died by overdosing on meds he's been taking. Nobody saw this coming including me!!!!!!!!!John was a good guy and a great friend...I am still reeling in anguish over this!!! Ambulance, fire trucks, cops all came but nobody could revive him. I believe he just wanted to be with his mom.....Rest in peace, both of their souls......

Neighbor Anna was buried today....Her son John was cremated and was buried with her.The family now anxious to sell the house soon. Huge split level with an in-law setup. Someone will get a great deal!!!...I just hope they're good people for my sake or I may have to move to Neb or Col................

Sorry to hear about your neighbors.

I'm going through some new neighbor anxiety as well. The directly across the street from me sold and I'll have new neighbors in a few weeks.

Just remembered....gave the snow sleds to the grand kids

They will have more.

I have had some good neighbors as well as the neighbors I have now. Oh well. West coast transplants who always wanted to live on a farm. So they bought a chicken coop and a few chicks. Now they wont kill and cook the chickens and wonder why the coyotes (Four legged and Furry) now frequent the neighborhood.

Here's a thought. Maybe I could get my neighbors to buy next to Bob. Can't hurt to ask.

"Morning has broken" and it looks like a beautiful day on tap !In yrs past, I'd have the Boss waxed up and ready to go for Memorial Day weekend. But these days, I'm not sure if I want to take the Boss out with all these distracted drivers looming around..............Maybe I'll wait till next week, when they're back at work, being distracted.....;)

Sorry to hear about your neighbors Bob, especially the sad turn of events with Anna's son? Sounds like you could use a bit of a pleasant distraction , so get out the Boss and take a little drive in the Sunshine?

I know my Blue Beauty is waxed and ready for me to take a ride , so I will be with you in spirit, my friend.
