Did you do any daily driving on them? I'm curious as to how fast they wear when you include street miles.
Not a daily thing, but I did put plenty of street miles on them over the past two years. Summary of approximate use is about like this:
14 AutoX days
4 HPDE days
2000 street miles
I run a little over 2 degrees of negative camber on the front (solid axle in the rear because... S197), and I found that the tires wore very evenly as long as they were rotated. The accelerated inside wear during street driving was offset by the outer wear seen from parking lot racing and track use. If I were only driving on the street, I think I could get 8,000 - 10,000 miles out of them with minimal camber.
Driving in the rain is not a good idea. When new, RE-71s will get you where you want to go if you're careful. At 4/32 of tread depth, standing water is an accident waiting to happen. That said, I am putting on another set since my Excursion doesn't care how hard it rains.
