Did the Boss last Friday... but with Meguair's. Just rolled 4k miles on Saturday. Still shiny like she just came off the showroom floor. Well, except for the rubber turds in the wheel wells.

I've got a track day on July 3rd so I'm saving my wax day until after that. There's a pretty fresh coat on it now but it will get very dirty at the track.

I should, but most likely won't get around to it.
The Menzerna Powerlocked in 2011 is still shinny, but the water just doesn't wipe off like it needs to.

The guys on another forum seem to be enamored with Meguirer's Hybrid Ceramic Wax.

I've been hesitant to try it only because it contains silicone. I've been told that causes problems with paint adhesion if you ever want to touch up or paint your car.

It contains silicon dioxide, SI02, supposed to add some level of hardness or protection. Not the same fisheye inducing silicone but none of it’s any good for the body shop.
McGuire’s is usually decent stuff and they are late to this SI02 party of spray on hose off shine adders/protectants. Heard good things so I wouldn’t be scared.
I have used CarPro version and it’s great for topping ceramic coated daily drivers and wheel etc.

I probably have the same Porter Orb Sander as you and like the various pads you can get with it, depending on your application. And although Adams stuff is made here in Colorado, there is no truth to the rumor that it contains cannabis oil. Yet since it seems to cure just about anything that ails you, maybe cannabis oil can get rid of paint swirls too!

I've been using Adams products for years......even though they are made in Colorado. ;)

Just bought a Porter Cable orbital polisher to make the job easier. They work great together.

Thx. But if none of that silicone stuff is good for the body shop then I'm still concerned. Not that I'm looking to have an appointment with the body shop any time soon!

Would the silicone also affect adherence of touch up paint for rock chips, etc?
