My New England Neighbor, After talking with my Son, Who I wanted to ride shotgun with me also....He said he had to stay put this weekend since He's on call from his job. The best unplanned plans never make it to fruition sad to say.Maybe they'll be a "Mustang Roundup East" one day?...Lime Rock, You Game?????

I'm game for any local track events. Lime Rock, Palmer. I even consider Watkins Glen "local".
For all the reasons posted above and then some...Just do it Bob !! Check off one of the larger boxes on your bucket list. I haven't made the arrangements yet but I'm going.

@Fastfordnut go ahead and organize one. I work with Hooked on Driving here in NorCal and know David Ray the owner. He just purchased a white PP2 and races a S197. I'm sure they will work with you on getting a group out to the track. You can promote here and on our FB page.

The condos on site are killer , with big garages , right where the action is, and actually reasonable when guys get together to share the cost. With a full kitchen it makes things even handier if you need a place for your cereal malt beverages you brought by the case, for some strange reason?

Oh, cmon, Fast, don't forget you can always count cows!!!???

Looking forward to seeing you guys again and guarantee you will find it one of the best times you have ever spent with Mustang fanatics!

Has anyone been able to confirm if we will see any of the new GT500's at this event this year? It wouldn't surprise me, but don't want to start rumors that are not true. May peek interest in others that were not going to come to this event...

The rumor has been going on for a long time and there is a really good chance.
The only thing that might slow it down would be the changes at Ford over the past months where there was a reduction in the White Collar workforce.
Gotta believe, considering what has shown up at the Mustang Roundup in the past, that if a GT500 can make it there it will happen!

Remember that three of the first GT350Rs ( of the 37 made in 2015 ) were there that year, Ford GT has been there, the new S550 was there in person when it came out, etc., etc., etc.

Heh, one of the biggest draws, in my mind , is Voodoo Boss is coming to hang with all the track rats in attendance!!

Was at a Des Moines Valley SCCA Autocross this weekend and was amazed at the full corral of Ponies that were there. Virtually all the Mustangs there were Autocrossers, but almost all of them said they wanted to go to a track event! I left them info about TMO and the Mustang Roundup , but it also made me realize I should throw out the suggestion to those of you track rats coming to the 9th Annual Roundup - tell your autocross buddies! All the folks I talked to were keen on the idea that only Mustang drivers would be out there, plus they wanted to run the autocross along with having track time. Don't assume an avid Autocrosser is not interested in track time , because that is where many of us started ( myself included). Reach out to those Slaloming Stang friends, because there is not a better place to start running on a road course as with your fellow Mustang fanatics!

One thing I don't like about autocross is standing around all day or setting up cones and getting to run 6-8 times for about a minute a piece. So all day event and drive car for 10 minutes???? Yea may be cheaper, but I like time behind the wheel. Not saying there is anything wrong with autocross I just don't like standing on 120 degree asphalt then just driving that short amount of time. They need to do this event and see how much time they get behind the wheel plus the autocross time.

No argument that it is not as much fun, but I still recommend folks try autocrossing to learn technique and it speeds up the process when learning to run on a track. With so many of us that started there ( autocrossing ) we should be talking to our friends that still do it and recommending they come to the Mustang Roundup as a perfect place to start their track experience -- congenial group and all Blue Oval buddies ,ha. The fact that we also have an autocross gives a newcomer some groundwork, but when they leave having had close to 2 hours of track time each day, they realize that running road courses is worth the cost for the huge amount of racing activity time!! So, as noted, Track afficianados , time to invite your autocross friends , as this is one of the best introductions to a road course anywhere in the US.

Couldn't agree more @12coBoss

I do it once or twice a year and I do enjoy it but not nearly as much as being on the track for 20 minutes or so at a tyme. At the RMMR autoX in Steamboat, you have 3 hours to get 4-5 runs in and then 3 hours working out on the course. Give me the road course any day.
