Paid off the wife's Escape 3-4 years ahead of schedule. Two vehicles down, one to go. Should be paid off within the next ten months or so and then totally debt-free. Screw you debt, I do what I want.

The key to eliminating debt is by removing the cause of it. I keep paying everything off but my lovely Wench creates it faster than I can handle it. Now if I could only figure out how to to remove the cause.... :D

Get this.....As of the 1st of this month Ct is taxing the use of single use plastic bags 10 cents a bag with a complete ban of the bags in 2 yrs. The state hopes to collect over $55mil with this new tax during this tyme. Two local grocery stores have outsmarted them and have switched back to paper bags (which do cost more) and are charging 10 cents a bag, which goes to cover the higher cost of the paper bags.Either way the consumer still gets hosed unless they bring their own reusable bags....like me...:D......Once "they" figure out how to tax the air we breathe....watch out!

They charge 1-4 yen (a little less than 1-4 cents) here for bags in some places, but I am not sure if it's a tax, a recycling fee, or just because shopping bags cost money to produce. Don't know if it makes any difference because people already seem inclined to bring their own bags anyways.
