Probably not!!! I got the calipers from you just before I crashed the car. Was thinking of adding the rotors to a massive tasca order I have for repairs. Will send you a PM

Not that I am trying to double post this, but I received my S550 PP brake calipers today, and curiosity got to me. And even though I was told the SVE 19" drifts do not fit on the S197, I mocked them up. I ordered new wheels to fit these cause everyone said they will not fit the Drifts, and now I don't want to get ahead of myself cause I haven't received the 15" rotors (the 14" are on there for the spacing), and I don't have pads, or the pad clips in either, but I don't feel those would cause a clearance issue. But they seem to fit fine? Am I missing something on why these were not supposed to fit (probably something that will make me feel retarded)? Not the best pics, but I spun them, and they even clear the wheel weights as well with lots of room????

I'd be weary if it says it doesn't fit. What I've seen happen when there's a tight clearance is dust or pebbles get stuck between the caliper and inside barrel/rim, especially if you pick up a tire marble in the right spot. Whatever debris gets stuck will cause scoring on the surface of the inside barrel/rim.

You’re going to want 5mm clearance between the barrel and the caliper at a min. If you have that much clearance and the spokes clear you’ll be fine. If it’s close use a 5mm Allen to check the clearance in the tight spots.

I may be blind, but I didn't see anything for the 4 pistons off the s550s. I'm still on the stock s197 GT calipers up front, and a friend of mine just put the 6 piston brembos on his s550. He has the full kit (rotors, calipers, and pads) from the stock 4 pistons off his s550. He offered to let it all go for a hundred bucks. Would it be worth it if it fits, or should I hold out for the 6 piston upgrade? I think they're 14" rotors, so I could snag some brembo s197 rotors for them since the s550 has the different offset.

Also would the brake lines posted in here work for those as well? I feel like this is too good of a deal to pass up if they fit.

Thanks

You don't want the non-PP brakes from an S550 for the track. Instead of the rotor venting from the hub side it is vented from the wheel side. Therefore you can't run cooling ducts to it. Well... technically I guess you could but it would only cool one side of the rotor.

Would that still be an issue using the 14' brembo rotors? The s550 ones won't fit. Sorry if I'm missing it.

We know the 6 pot brembos work well with the GT500 (15" discs 2013 & 2014) on a S197..... So I would assume the S550 14" calipers would work with the S197 14" disks on a S197. Apart from street driving you do not want to go near the S550 14" discs... Ford really screwed up with those... Totally useless after a few minutes on the track.
