My friends S550 went off the track and damaged his steering rack. Looking up the part number I see several different versions of racks available.. Any recommendations on the best OEM track oriented rack to get?? He is running 19x11 wheels with 305 Cup3 tires.

Any help would be much appreciated!

If they're anything like the S197 the only difference between the 3 are where their steering stops are to accommodate different width wheels.

If your friend is using wide wheels/tires for the track and has brake ducts,t the one for 20" wheels - GR3Z3504EE - for a 2015 may be the best.

In any case, you can always use this kit to limit travel:

Well, the steering rack finally arrived and the install went quickly... But,, now we get the codes U0420.86-AB U2100.55-8B..... Looks like the PCM did not lke the change.... But the car starts and the steering works.... just with these codes. Any ideas???
