Wife took me to the show for an early BD present and she loved the movie. Her two interesting comments were , " There were no slow spots in any of this movie, " and " Loved the show, it should be Oscar worthy!" The reports that the wife or significant other will enjoy the film also , seem to ring very true!?

Drano and Carver --- we went to a 12:25 show and like you guys there was hardly anyone there ( 4 of us ). My son went at 8:30 am and there were a whopping 6 at the show.

Buddy at work went this past Saturday , late, and had to stand in a long line and the theatre was packed!! Think I will plan on hitting the matinees ,ha.

Bale did an awesome job in the movie so I agree he deserves the nomination.

Not sure if this was asked before but how did Shelby come up with the name "Cobra" for his cars?
(Was asked at my Mustang Club dinner and we did google the answer)

"Shelby frequently had ideas in the middle of the night and would forget them by morning, so he kept a pencil and paper by his bed. One morning he woke and found he'd written the word "Cobra."

A.J. Blaine and Tony Hunt were at a local CnC event this past Saturday. A.J. wrote the book Go Like Hell and Tony was a stunt man in the movie. Tony purchased the 98 Cobra that he drove in the movie. Smart move. Turns out Tony only lives a couple of miles from me so I hope to see him driving his Cobra around town this Spring.

Went to see the film with my brother. It was great, we grew up in the sixties and the Ford GT was my favorite car, probably have a half dozen models of the different versions. Building a kit car version still lingers in the back of my mind or maybe a new Corvette? Mid-engine has been my dream since the 60's, seeing the GT's and rear engine Indy car revolution was fantastic.

Watched the movie with the family last night. My wife and both daughters were really into it, which was so fun for me. It's not every day they'll watch a car/racing movie with me. Of course, they all hated Leo Beebe at the end - I tried to explain that the writers might have take some liberties on how he was portrayed, but it didn't change their minds much. Bale did a fantastic job of making you feel the depth of Ken Miles - his flaws, his passion, all of it. Very well done. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
